This procedure sucked! It cost me $500 for the injections (that hurt tremendously) and the results lasted for one day. It also made me break out.

Artecol: I have had two treatments with this. This first doctor that treated me was a hack and my face was left bloody and bruised for two weeks. He injected the filler too deeply and it had no effect.

The second doctor actually knew what she was doing and I've been pleased with the results. There was no signs of treatment (no bruises or clots). Results were good but not miraculous. The results still hold up two years after treatment. Unfortunately it was difficult to point out all the problem areas at the doctors office in their good light. I am still looking for further improvements.


Restalyne: I had this treatment but was disappointed that the results wore off after only a few months.

Oct.13,2004 -I had Radiance dermal fill injected into scars on my cheeks. Doc did subscision first I had no bad reaction, some bruising and swelling afterwards yet, no pain.
Now 5 days later..swelling gone, little yellow bruises remain. Scars are only corrected about 50%..I look better, but not as good as I thought I would..I will be going back for more on Nov. 1, 2004.
I certainly hope this Radiance last the 2-6 years as advertised..I would hate to be paying $1200.00 for 1cc every 6 months...Eeeek!.. I will be living in my car..!!!

Restylane is my magic bullet until a longer-lasting filler comes along. It works great for smoothing acne scars - especially those on the cheek.

I found fat transfer quite good and seemingly permanent, most suitable for larger atrophic or rolling type scars or indeed any scar type except deep ice picks best treated by punch elevation. Gentle extraction and handling of fat passed through a centrifuge to purify before injection increases chances of permanent results. Results may of course vary.
