| Pros: | I use the climdamycin 1% gel and so far its been working pretty well. The tiny bumps on my skin are going away and it didn't dry me out. |
| Cons: | The first week my skin got worse as more pimples came out and it was dry. |
| Bottom Line: | My skin clarity has improved and the tiny bumps on my chin are gone! It is very affordable with insurance! |

| Pros: | Lasts a while if you use as prescribed; didn't make my acne worse. That's pretty much it. |
| Cons: | Made my skin more oily, took a while to absorb into the skin, and (most important of all) just didn't work. |
| Bottom Line: | For me, this was more or less useless. It didn't reduce any acne, and wasn't effective at all. It was basically like putting moisturizer on my face, almost like a thick water.
If your skin is especially oily I wouldn't use it, but I guess for some skin types it might do something. Definitely not for mine, though. I guess it didn't make me any worse which was kind of a plus, but why use medication that doesn't do what it's supposed to? |

| Pros: | DOESN'T IRRITATE MY SKIN, DOESN'T DRY ME OUT, IS PRETTY GENTLE, DOESN'T STAIN CLOTHING |
| Cons: | ISN'T THE MIRACLE PIMPLE SHRINKER, DOESNT' WORK AS FAST AS SOME OTHER SPOT TREATMENTS |
| Bottom Line: | I LIKE THIS PRODUCT FOR THE MOST PART. I HAVE REALLY IRRITABLE SKIN. THIS PRODUCT DOESN'T DRY ME OUT WAHT SO EVER. THE ACNE I HAVE WHEN I APPLY DOESN'T DISAPPEAR BUT IT DOES SHRINK DOWN ALITTLE. I WOULD GIVE THIS A TRY. IT IS A N ANTIBACTERIAL GEL. SO IF YOU HAVE ALOT OF BACTERIA THIS MIGHT HELP. |

| Pros: | It is the only product that cleared up my skin completely. I have tried both murad, and proactiv, but neither gave me good results, just exacerbated my acne. |
| Cons: | although it can make your skin dry, I use it in conjunction with a light weight mousturizer, so I do not have that problem. |
| Bottom Line: | If you have tried everything else like proactiv or murad, which does not work for everyone try asking a doctor for prescription medication. The acne medication will be stronger. Plus this medication is not expensive like differin...so i recommend it over differin. |

| Bottom Line: | i got immune to this antibiotic quicker than any other that i have taken. although the side effects (STARVING ALL THE TIME! stomach cramps.. gas) were manageable, they sucked. taking 3 pills a day was a pain too. |

| Pros: | It takes about two months to start working well. I've been mostly clear since then. Still get a few small pimples sometimes. |
| Cons: | Oily skin |
| Bottom Line: | Nothing over the counter worked for me. It works if you use it as directed. I use once in the morning and once at night. |

| Pros: | does make a difference |
| Cons: | sensitive, itchy, red skin |
| Bottom Line: | i was prescribed a cream called duac by my doctor which contains quite a high dosage of clindamycin and also benzyol perozxide - having never used either by themselves, i am not sure which is to thank for the improvement in my skin but my guess is both of them are. I use this once a day at night only, it makes me skin feel itchy and bumpy like i have a rash :/, but it is only temporary, as when i wake up my skin has calmed down and the itching has stopped. This did not work immediately, infact things got worse for a few days as all my spots came to a head, after that there has been slow and steady improvement. This doesnt actually stop me getting spots, but it stops them getting so big and definately not as red or as obvious, also it seems to be slowly clearing out my pores and improving the clarity of my skin. My skin feels smoother than it has in a long time because i guess of the deeper cleansing of my pores than i have ever had before with over-the-counter products. |

| Pros: | I used to Clindamycin 1% gel. I had moderate acne and OTC treatments weren't working. This cleared up my acne within a week. My face has never been clearer! |
| Cons: | When I first started using the gel it brought all my pimples to a head. So, for about a week my face had quite a few disgusting pussy pimples on it. However, this is it's way of working. So don't pick them and they'll go away and not scar. |
| Bottom Line: | I had been using Benzol Peroxide products and they made my face red and irritated. However, this product is gental on my face, it doesn't dry it out, and the best part is it actually works. I would strongly suggest at least trying it for yourself. It can be expensive without insurance but there are generics available which are much cheaper. Many times depending on your insurance most may be covered. |
