| Pros: | ...Took it with retinA and Finacea...dont think doryx helped. didnt suffer side effects. |
| Cons: | if you dont notice it working withing the 3rd week you shouldnt waste your time... |
| Bottom Line: | check out minocycline, i used to have a ton of white heads and blackheads and now i have developed cystic acne, so i assume the doryx didnt help if i continued to get worst. so if you have bad acne i dont think Doryx helps it much look into minocycline and most of the poeple who are taking them are poeple with cystic acne and are getting better. |

| Pros: | Kept moderate acne under control. I didn't breakout while taking it. |
| Cons: | It can cause esophagitis if you lay down after taking it. Made me very dizzy after taking it for a while. |

| Bottom Line: | I've only just started using it. I'm trying to get used to taking it twice a day. Doctor has only approved my use of it for 3 months and then he's gonna check where we're at from there. I haven't had the yeast problems yet (which is surprising because of all this heat!!) My outlook on this is good though because my face doesn't hurt anymore and I'm not waking up with the swelling either. The morning I called my doctor and he prescribed me this, I woke up with a pimple right under the left side of my lip and it swelled my lip so much that I looked like Shrek and I started crying because I didn't want to go to work with my bottom lip stuck so far out. This was after using Proactiv and every other OTC product and homemade remedy under the sun since I was a preteen. Anything that's going to stop that from happening is ok in my book. I'm a 27 yr old mother and the last thing I need to worry about is the cystic acne on my face. |

| Pros: | It's definitely clearing my skin. Easy to take. Cheap. |
| Cons: | Hate the idea of long term antibiotics, so I take a probiotic, which itself is expensive. |
| Bottom Line: | I take Doxy as a part of a regime. I don't know how it would work alone. I've tried just about everything including dietary detox, which does help, but even with that I still got the deep cysts around my period and still had acne in places other than my face. I'm 41 years old and have it on my neck, back and shoulders, which I never did as a teen. I'm not sure how long I'll stay on, but it really has helped amazingly well. I haven't had any of the stomach issues, surprisingly, but I have taken it near a (dairy free) meal on purpose. I'm also on topical clindamycin for my back and Differin, which as a bonus is helping the fine lines on my face...YAY! |

| Pros: | Slowly seemed to make a difference in my skin after 3-4 weeks. No more huge pimples but the scarring stayed. |
| Cons: | I got esophagitis after taking a pill with not enough water. It's incredibly painful to eat and drink. It is my fault for not taking it with enough water. I now have to go off the pill for 7 to 10 days and I'm nervous as to how my skin will react. |
| Bottom Line: | Antibiotics in general are so bad for you. I figure that if this works, I would have to stay on it forever. I figure that sadly, I might as well go off it for good and keep my body healthy and just suffer through the bad skin. Staying on pills like this are seriously bad for your immune system. |

| Pros: | I often had those thick white pimples on my face which leave thick dark scars, I took it for a vaginal thrush and noticed that I had no more breakouts on my face. |
