Dairy Free Diets... What about goat cheese?

I've been reading about dairy free diets today. I'm already vegetarian and never considered going vegan. I don't drink milk and rarely eat eggs, but I LOVE cheese. I read that goat cheese might be okay because goats are not given as many hormones. Opinions?

If you tolerate "casein", cheese is ok!

If you do not tolerate "lactose", old/hard chesse or lactose-free cheese is ok!

I eat goat cheese just fine.

Don't know if it's hormones or otherwise, but I too love cheese.

It's individual and something you will have to try for yourself. But there are many ways dairy affects acne, not just hormones given to cows. There's the hormones the milk naturally has which are designed to stimulate rapid growth of baby animals and include hormones directly involved in acne.

And there's the lactose which many people can't fully digest, the casein many people are allergic to, that it's insulinemic, etc.

But yes, goat milk tends to be less problematic than cow.

Is it true goat cheese has much less casein in it then cow cheese?
