Has anyone noticed any affect of nut butters on acne? I've been having almond butter and have no problem with breakouts..but I would like to switch to peanut butter because it's much cheaper. I know there is kind of a negative connotation with peanut butter and acne but am wondering what other people's experiences are? Also, notice any difference with organic vs regular?

Thanks!

Try making pumpkin seed butter at home using an oven. Best source of zinc/dht blocker

Can't eat any nut butters without breaking out personally, keep eating them if they don't affect skin or digestion. Stay away from peanut and almond though, especiallly almond as there's studies showing how inflammatory they are, try cashew!

After years of eating peanut butter with my breakfast every morning, I realised it was a big cause of the pimples on my jaw. The breakouts were even worse when I ate peanuts. I haven't had peanut products in months & I've definitely had less breakouts :smileys_n_people_0: I haven't tried any other nut butters as I'm too scared of what effects it would have on my skin.

peanuts are one of the 7 major allergens. (and they're very high in mycotoxins so best avoided)

only way to know is to test it. i'd put money on it causing acne. they do for me! so do almonds.
