Does jojoba oil clog anybody's pores? Not necessarily giving you acne, but have any of you guys noticed that your skin gets little clogged pores while using jojoba oil, and when you stopped using the jojoba they go away? I'm curious because my skin is looking pretty good, but when I look closely in a mirror there are definitely a bunch of closed little bumps which are definitely clogged pores. When popping them pus definitely comes out (though i'v only done this to experiment, i rarely pop pimples). I was wondering If I might need to move away from jojoba oil...its the only thing that I could think of that could be causing this. I even use a salicylic acid peel every week to make sure I get my exfoliation in. It makes my skin look really toned and good, but it has done nothing for these little clogged pores. I have an inkling that the jojoba oil is causing them, but im not sure

Yep, I had the same experience with jojoba oil. When I stopped using it, the tiny bumps went away. I guess my skin doesn't love jojoba oil as much as everyone else does.

Hi Maximus! I've heard about jojoba oil clogging pores in some people. Do you only use jojoba oil, or do you mix it with a moisturizer? If you only use jojoba, do you apply it on a completely dry face (i.e. not damp/wet)? If on a damp/wet face, try it when your face is completely dry (after washing). Jojoba oil should not clog pores, on the contrary. But -as with every product- you may just be one of the unlucky few.

gahh...thanks so much for the reply, that is what i had feared...and it sounds like we are in the exact same boat. Sometimes the clogged pores get inflamed and become pimples, but they are usually little clogged pores that are only noticeable when I go up to the mirror closely. I am going to stop using jojoba oil and see what happens also, but I have a feeling the bumps will go away. What moisturizer do you currently use?

Hi AKL! I mix 2 drops in with 2 pumps of Dan's moisturizer. Yeah, ive done a ton of research on jojoba oil and it seems like a great product, but i'm pretty sure it is clogging my pores, especially since RUSH25 had the same experience. I love being one of the unlucky few!! lol eusa_wall.gif

Haha yeah, if only things were much easier, right? 2 drops is nothing, so if the clogged pores started to appear soon after adding jojoba, it's best if you stop it and see what happens. It may have nothing to do with it, but at least you'll know. Good luck, man!

Well i'v been using jojoba for a long time now, well over a year. I used to use 6 drops morning and night, but ive cut back on the BP amount so I was able to cut back on the jojoba amount. The bumps have been around for as long as I have been using the jojoba oil. If I remember i'll update this post in a few weeks with the results of stopping jojoba oil.

I have little clogged pores sometimes that are basically almost invisible to the eye but I can feel them... I was wondering what was causing this and now I'm wondering if it's the jojoba oil? Jojoba is like my holy grail and stuff but I'm wondering... Is it clogging my pores, and what can I do about it? I can't just stop using it I mean I love dat stuff... I'm in a similar predicament
