Hi there, I'm thinking of switching from Clean & Clear continuous control and blackhead eraser to Paula's choice BHA and BP because I just realised there are irritants in the C&C. The Paula's choice products are both leave on rather than washes so my question is can I apply one on top of the other? And could I then moisturise after that?
Thanks, I hope you all clear up soon
(also is there a best time of day to apply these products?)
I just started doing this today:
It's apparently helped a lot of people out, but unlike the rest, I am using a moisturizer to make sure my skin isn't going to get super dry and get oily like it used to.
However... unlike what you're doing, both my salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide treatments are wash off. I really wouldn't suggest using both of those products if they're both rub ons that stay, especially if you're trying to avoid irritating your skin (it will just make it worse) but if you do decided to do this, absolutely make sure your moisturize, or your skin will become very dry (and more irritated)
Also, if you'd like to remove blackheads, I'd look into witch hazel. I used a product with it, and it works very well!
Hope this helped, and let me know if you have any questions!
Using both BP and Salicylic acid might be too irritating to your skin. Try alternating the two or use BP for awhile then switch to SA but try to avoid both at the same time. I do like Paula's Choice because its PH balanced and formulated well. I found a liking to PC BHA & AHA exfoliators. And as control panel said please wear sunscreen after you apply BP!!
According to Paula Begoun, it's perfectly fine. However, might be a bit too drying/irritating. You could use the two products at different times.
