Pustules

Hi, I am so baffled by pustules that have consistently shown up on my chin for the past 12 years For clarification, these are pimples that have a white/yellow head that are filled with pus. It's my understanding that these are typically caused by internal bacteria, which then cause your white blood cells to go to work to push the bacteria out. They do pop up in other areas on my face from time to time but are most prominent on my chin. I cut out all pore clogging ingredients in all personal care products back in 2020. I do not eat eggs or whey. I limit dairy and use a lot of vegan options. I do not eat any inflammatory oils and eat pretty clean (no preservatives, no chemicals, dyes, etc). I've worked with a naturopath, several acne specialists/hormone specialists, FaceReality experts, estheticians, gotten acupuncture, done the DUTCH test, and the GI Maps test.

Actively working on:

  • gut health
  • liver health
  • lymphatic health
  • working on eating more protein
  • healing my moisture barrier

Does anyone have any holistic tips or advice on what they did to clear an internal bacterial infection or get rid of pustular acne? I've also tried oregano oil supplements but these can only be taken in short spurts of 2 weeks max. I would be super grateful to anyone who can help! Thank you!

theres already a big discussion on this topic, go and find it

some things that id be interested to know

have you taken doxycycline in the past?

do you live in cold wet climate?

do you have early signs of rosacea?

do you get dead skin buildup?

do you have very oily skin/ other signs of unbalanced hormones?

im pretty sure the chin is always related to sex hormones, though with this pustule issue its mostly all around the mouth. I used to always get them under my mouth but now almost never, now my forehead is most prone

imo the best treatment is topical bp, though this is not a fix it should help keep you clear while you work out the root cause.
