Hi guys.

It's finally time for me to post in this thread. Over two years ago I spent a long time searching and scouring the internet for information about the terrible problems I was having with my health, which I considered (as many of you do) to have been caused by taking this drug.

I can say that, whilst my health is still not in it's most perfect state (I don't believe many are without some affliction, whether they are consciously aware or not), I have made a HUGE improvement to my state in general. But I will tell you with certainty, it takes time for the body to heal from this poison, and patience is a lesson that is taught freely as a result of this.

Every body in my life has taken note of the improvements that they can see in my physical state, and my emotional state, and they comment freely! (those who haven't seen me in a couple years have said "wow! you look so different! you look great")

Any way, I will give you a brief overview on the symptoms I was having after taking this drug. I took it for around 6 months at a dosage I am unsure of. It eradicated my acne, but slowly in the year after taking it eradicated almost everything else about me! I was having SERIOUS digestive issues, where my stool was pure black like tar at times, showing I had internal bleeding. I had zero energy and woke up every day feeling like a zombie after 12 hours of rough rough unrestful sleep. This was truly the lowest time in my life- I felt as though there were no reason to live. My quality of life was so low. I had intense pain and discomfort whenever I ate, in one episode I had severe abdominal pain that felt like I had been stabbed and it was so intense I was pacing outside in fear questioning whether to ring an ambulance. I was going to the hospital and doctors SO regularly and they were telling me there was nothing wrong...! ha!!

They said my blood test showed a small amount of liver damage. I was having frequent panic attacks and constant anxiety, with attacks that left me feeling as though I couldnt breathe. This was terrifying for me. This whole part of my life was the most fearful I have felt- I was truly convinced that I was going to die. At this point I was convincing myself that I had diabetes, kidney stones or some other disease that I read about on the internet, but then i found all these people having the symptoms I had.

Any way- this is just a view of the time in my life and how I felt from this drug.

Now, the list of things I have tried and tested that are conducive for health and helped me heal (of which I am still doing to a certain degree after 3 years)

1. Liver Flushing. This is THE most effective of anything I have tried. The best source of information about this is Andreas Moritz's book The Amazing Liver And Gallbladder Cleanse, which you can find for free online. The liver has one of the most important roles in the health of our body. The livers functions are reparative- the liver has the ability to rejuvenate your entire being. Congestion in the liver is a major stumbling point for the liver's natural function- clearing it out allows your body to do some amazing repair work.

All I will say is that after my first liver cleanse, I woke up in the morning and for the first time since taking accutane it felt like my brain WORKED! and I cannot emphasise this enough.... I could think clearly for the first time, compared to the intense mental fog I had accumulated. And I looked into my eyes in the mirror, and they SHINED, the whites were so white and I could just feel the work this had done (the eyes are a major sign of the functioning of the liver- people with liver failure and alcoholism have very yellow whites of their eyes). I urge everyone here to look into liver flushing as this is truly the number one thing I have done.

2. Diet and lifestyle- Examine your diet. I know many of you have a shot digestive system- Liver flushing will do amazing things for your digestion- another suggestion would be to add small amounts of fermented foods to your diet if this suits you, such as sauerkraut or kimchi. These have done wonders for my digestion. I would highly recommend examining the amount of meat and dairy that you consume as these can add to congestion in the body and impede the healing process. Great information for diet can be found in systems such as the Specific carbohydrate diet, which can be miraculous for those with digestive issues, or allergies like gluten intolerance. I was MAJORLY intolerant to wheat and gluten- it gave me a serious painful reaction and sapped all of my energy- I would go pale and get dark blue bags around my eyes within an hour of eating it. Now I am cured- I eat homemade white flour wheat bread on a daily basis. But this took a long time to accomplish. Ayurveda is an ancient indian dietary system and I have found following this to be extremely useful- I suffered from a vata imbalance because of this drug. (I lost a lot of weight since taking it and my digestion was screwed so I couldn't gian any)

3. Your mental attitude and your emotional outlook- now this is the most important aspect of this to some degree, because without a change in this, you will never be healed. The first step is to put yourself in the drivers seat, put all responsibility on your self, and say ok it's time for me to be in charge of my health. Putting your faith in doctors and others and finding the shortcut solution to a problem is what put me in this situation, and it's learning from these lessons that will heal me. Having patience, being in charge of how you treat your body and most importantly is to love yourself. If you blame your body for having succombed to the effects of this drug or you blame yourself for taking it in the first place, then you are sending your body and your mind a message of hate and distrust. Accepting the circumstances that you have found yourself in and saying "ok, I accept this and i'm ready to work towards a state of health" is a FANTASTIC place to start. This gives you the power and the responsibility to heal yourself. Looking at your body with love and understanding is conducive to your health. More than some people would even realise.

I will finish here as these are three of the best ways to improve your health and life in general. If any one has any further questions about anything I have mentioned here, about any thing they are currently attempting or just some guidance on where to start with these protocols, I would be more than happy to help.

If there is an interest, I will write further on a few other things which are highly beneficial (some of these are a little controversial currently), and I am also willing to make some videos talking about my experience with accutane or any healing modality I have tried.

I am here to help! I am so thankful to have been given this great opportunity to learn from my experiences with this drug and I truly feel blessed to be where I am today.

James

Interesting, can you give a brief outline of a liver flush diet? I've tried the specific carbohydrate diet and continue to do so with great success. If all that is required is diet manipulation/restriction I haven't got a problem with that. But I won't be splashing loads of cash on supplements other than a solid pro-biotic.

About your penultimate sentence IndigoRush (the creator of this thread) was always keen to have people create videos. If you don't mind him sharing it on his youtube and the like to spread awareness I can get him in contact with you?

>

I definitely wouldn't risk that much money on a potential scam that is definitely illegal. Also you don't even know what strain you're getting, % of CBD vs. THC, or the quality of the product. Your best bet is probably to plan a trip to Colorado.

Alright, who wants to organize a roadtrip!

shadeo is a roadtrip a feasible option for you? If all else fails, I probably will do that biggrin.png

Not that feasible right now as I live on the East coast. I move to Manitoba in the early summer though, which is only a 14 hour drive to Colorado, so I'll likely try it then

As for Liver flushing, I also doubt any of the "stones" are real stones. It is a good way to flush a lot of bile out of your body though, which could contain accutane still if the molecules are stuck in our bodies in an entero-hepatic recycling loop. I did one flush and it seemed to help a bit, but like others said, do not overdo it you could risk doing more harm than good

Thanks for your input. I am aware of these hypotheses behind the creation of these stones although I do not believe these myself. All I will say is give it a go and see if it benefits you. I am a firm believer in trying anything that is known to work for people. If you visit the website curezone, there is a survey about liver flushing and what people have gotten from this. I also have experience with people who have used this procedure with great success.

When people come up to you and say "wow you look fantastic! What did you do?" it really makes it apparent that there is more than a psychological indication in the procedure.

However, what you say about placebo is very interesting, as really the only thing that heals us is belief. The true transformation happens when our outlook transforms.

These stones are known as intrahepatic stones and are recognised by many official medical practices. Once you see them you will know they could not have been formed over night. There has also been times when I have passed less than 50 stones on one flush, compared to one where I passed over 1000 stones from performing the exact same procedure. This is not accountable for- you would expect a similar amount of substance to be "formed" every time if you were repeating the same protocol.

It's fair enough to be skeptical, but I have learned that skepticism can only serve to hold you from the truth some times...

I would not be too trusting in an industry that has freely encouraged the use of such harmful substances as Accutane.

There is a substance or "formula" called MMS, which people are claiming has cured many diseases such as cancer, malaria, diabetes, AIDS etc. After the popularity of this product increased, the FDA put out a warning against it, removed information from google and other search engines and started threatening people selling this until they subsided. Not to mention the RSO or cannabis oil, which has similar properties, yet what are we hearing about this?? This is a natural beautiful medicine that has been used for thousands of years and has built a great reputation for curing disease in recent years. There has been information about cannabis' medicinal properties for treating life threatening disease for at least 40 years.

The industry that has fed you accutane will happily feed you lies to keep you sick and therefore in their pockets. Online "medical" websites I have found are only keeping you scared, maintaining the mindset of being a victim.

If you are looking to disprove things, you will find your evidence, no matter what it is. If you enter circumstances with an open mind and a willingness to judge for yourself, this is how you find your own truth.

Roland have you decided what ratio of THC to CBD you are going to try?

I will start with low THC / high CBD and will see how it goes. I will be able to change the ratio if I don't see any results.

Keep us updated on the cannabis oil experience. I have had some great experience with this myself. It is a very medicinal plant. I would recommend you to say a prayer and bless the oil before consuming.

Although it is recommended to take this in massive doses, and constantly, I wouldnot recommend this from my experience. It is difficult to function when you are on a 24 hour high and sleep is not nearly as deep or restorative. The true healing power from this plant for me is in combination with meditation and performing excercises of body awareness, where you can integrate more of your subconcious mind's knowing into your concious attention. Sensitivity is increased massively whilst under the influence and it allows you to gain further insight into areas of stress in the body, more fully feel areas of pain or discomfort and if you are interacting with your bodies concious awareness, you can learn about how to successfully treat these areas.

all the best, James

I'm back, this time with a step in the right direction. Has anyone else tried liquid CHLOROPHYLL? It's the substance responsible for photosynthesis in plants. Molecularly very similar to hemoglobin in blood cells. It supports red blood cell building, oxygen delivery and immune health. It aids in the excretion of dioxins from fat cells, and helps the liver to regenerate healthy cells. It soothes the digestive tract and is known to be effective in treating IBS and colitis, health problems 'tane users often complain about. I have used a liquid form of it for 2 weeks and I can honestly say that it has done more across the board for all of my health problems than anything else. It is giving me more energy and lots of it. In the process my depression has receded also. I sleep well now and wake up much earlier and feel well rested and strong. Perhaps best of all is that my throat isn't dry all the time. I have more normal levels of saliva and mucus and my skin looks and feels much better too. A building-block of life, it might go a long way in helping to heal from Accutane's detrimental effects.

James really feel good that you have made good progress from the point where accutane ruined your life ..

I have a question regarding the liver flush is there a reason why you followed Andreas Moritz liver flush? Did you look at the Ayurvedic liver flush - Panchakarma virechan

I haven't looked into that, no. I will be sure to check it out.

The reasoning behind following Andreas' protocol is the fact that there were so many people touting the benefits. I also read the book where he presents all of the science behind the process that made it very logical. I simply put my faith in his word and gave it a go and the results were brilliant.

Any of you can return to a state of health, but there are no shortcuts. It honestly has taken me a complete change in lifestyle and mental outlook to reach a better state of health.

Chlorophyll is great!

When you run out, take a look at Marine Phytoplankton. This is a form of plankton found deep in the ocean that is the "source of all life". This is the first food on the food chain and it contains almost every essential vitamin + mineral (including a high dose of chlorophyll).

I have been taking between 2 and 12 drops a day of Oceans Alive marine phytoplankton for abut 8 months now and I really love this stuff!

The taste takes getting used to, but if you start with one drop per day straight on the tongue and build your way up to taking 2-3 drops a few times per day you may actually start to love the taste as I have!! ha

In fact, here is a video to share with you about it- it isn't that informative, but it's extremely adorable!

Manitoba you used cannabis oil? Was it Rick Simpson Oil? Do you remember what % of CBD and THC you had? And what results did you get from it?

Yes, I have experience with it.

Rick simpson oil is just the name for a very pure cannabis oil extract. It is usually very high in thc. I would say that this can have a beneficial effect (I actually grew taller whilst taking it), but it isn't sustainable to be able to take in high doses every day. It is very debilitating. I would say that if you were taking in larger doses, to test different kinds, if you have the chance, and to see what suits you.

I am not aware of any percentages, but there have been a few very potent types. It had some positive effects, but nothing like the effect that Liver Flushing and diet made to my wellbeing.

Like I have said in previous posts, there is no shortcut. There is not one substance that you can buy that will completely restore your health- there are definitely many that are beneficial and will support it, but taking your time to do some serious detox will be the best way to secure lasting effects.

Hey guys- one more thing that I just recalled that has had a positive effect on me is using a clay mask (green clay or bentonite clay) on the face. These detox your skin and the brain, drawing toxicity out from within and letting it out of the skin. It also draws out heavy metals.

When doing these, I get a redness around my forehead and my cheeks, which were two main areas of dryness and redness that were present during my course of Accutane. I also might get a few small spots in these areas 1-2 days later as well and a dull ache in the head. These are typical detox reactions, showing that toxic matter is being released.

This is particularly useful if you have taken Accutane because of the effect it has on the brain and the facial skin! (Accutane is also used to treat certain types of brain cancer and leaves deposits in the brain)

After washing the clay off, I would definitely recommend to rehydrate your skin using olive oil or coconut oil. If you have very oily skin already then this will reduce the dryness.

Here is a review from another Accutane user describing his experience with it- [Edited link out]

James

I haven't looked into that, no. I will be sure to check it out.

The reasoning behind following Andreas' protocol is the fact that there were so many people touting the benefits. I also read the book where he presents all of the science behind the process that made it very logical. I simply put my faith in his word and gave it a go and the results were brilliant.

Any of you can return to a state of health, but there are no shortcuts. It honestly has taken me a complete change in lifestyle and mental outlook to reach a better state of health.

I am not aware of any percentages, but there have been a few very potent types. It had some positive effects, but nothing like the effect that Liver Flushing and diet made to my wellbeing.

Hi ManitobaMountain,

I was wondering if I could just ask you a few questions? It might seem like you'd just be repeating what you already said. I'm just trying to consolidate your story before coming to a conclusion about possible mechanisms of action at work behind all this. I'm not questioning your beliefs at all, simply trying to try to get an objective viewpoint as possible. I'll try and rule out subjective bias on my part as much as possible.

1. You took accutane for 6 months. When was this exactly?

2. When did the symptoms commence? I believe it was gastric symptoms and fatigue were the 2 main symptoms? I.e during the course, immediately after, months after etc.

3. How did these symptoms progress/remit? I.e did they get worse before they got better and so forth.

4. At what point along this symptom timeline did you introduce new interventions such as liver flushing, specific carbohydrate diet, RSO

Perhaps if you could use a scale such as 10 being your pre-'tane self and 0 at the worst point of your symptoms.

Thanks for taking the time to stick around on the forums.

I find it interesting that people have had success with low CBD Rick Simpson Oil when CBD seems to be the cannabinoid that helps restore brain and liver function, the 2 organs it seems like Accutane screws up the most. Hopefully an oil higher in CBD will have even better results! Here is a study showing CBD normalizing liver and brain function:

Thanks for taking the time to stick around on the forums.

Thanks, it is no bother at all. If I can help anyone that is struggling at least get some information about the things that have helped me, then I am happy!

1. I took it for 6 months in 2009.

2. I had many problems from this drug. The full list would be:

Impaired Digestion

Extreme Fatigue

Mental Fog

Gastrointestinal bleeding

Hair loss

Dry Skin

Impaired vision

Weight loss (a lot!)

Severe Abdominal Pain (for which I went to hospital a few times)

Impaired Liver Function (verified by blood tests)

Deep, dark circles under my eyes

Intolerance to Wheat+ Dairy

Decreased sexual function

Depression

Constant Breathlessness

Panic Attacks

2. These symptoms gradually progressed over the space of about a year, following the 6 months of Accutane. I could not function and eventually quit my studies due to my lack of energy, focus and depression. I did not have the strength to leave the house. These symptoms continued and got worse until I did my first liver flush, which was in about June 2012.

3. These symptoms have remissed progressively as my body has become clearer, stronger and less toxic. The brain fog was the first thing to improve. After one liver flush it felt like I could think for the first time in ages. As i progressed on with these and adjusted my diet, the rest of symptoms one by one, fell away.

The most recent improvement has been that my digestive system is, what I would consider, fully functioning again. My stool looks like digested food, not like mashed up food as it did for about 3 years.

I have also finally begun to gain weight and I no longer have any intolerance to wheat or dairy (wheat would give me extreme abdominal pain, I would go very pale and get dark circles under my eyes within an hour of eating it)

The only symptom from the above list I am currently still having is my hair is weaker than it used to be, and it is prone to dryness and my skin can sometimes become a little dry after a shower (this is no more than any body else might experience)

4. Ok. So I will post a full timeline for you here.

2009- I took Accutane for 6 months.

2010- first adverse symptoms appeared. These progressively got worse until:

september 2011- which is when I made changes to my diet. This made my symptoms more manageable but I was still suffering.

June 2012- I performed the first liver flush. I continued doing these periodically until the present day, where I am still performing these and releasing stones.

April 2013- I took cannabis oil for about 3 months.

January 2014- is right now and I am feeling great.

There are many different things I tried. If i took some time, I could literally reel off a list of SO many different things that I have experimented with over the last few years. There are some that helped and some that didnt.

A note on cannabis oil- although I would say that this helped me, I really feel that it is a restorative substance. if you are clear and detoxed, it will help you to regrow and regain your strength, vigour etc. I would say that it detoxes to a certain degree, but there are much better ways to clear the blockages in your system that this drug causes.

A note on liver flushing- the benefits of this are progressive. After flush number one, my symptoms improved dramatically for about 5 days and then returned to a slightly better position than they were originally. This is because as you unblock the lower portion of your liver, this creates space for the stones higher up to fall into. This means that after a few days, the bile ducts are blocked again. The symptoms improve dramatically until the ducts become blocked again and then they may return, although at a reduced level. I removed the most (and biggest) stones aat around the 4th and 5th flush. There was one flush where I got nothing.

It is recommended to continue until the liver is completely free of stones.

kindest regards, James

Here is a study showing CBD normalizing liver and brain function:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21182490

CBD is the sedative part of the equation (it's actually made up of many different cannabinoids). THC is shown to be effective in treatment of shrinking tumours and CBD is great for pain relief

I am very excited to see the progress that is made in the states over the next few years, as there is now becoming more and more legalisation. Examining the uses and effects of specific cannabinoids and producing medicine with the patients needs catered for will be amazing!

I realise this is happening to some degree already, but the future holds a whole new world of medicine it seems!

Hi guys, looks like I have the first post of 2014 :)

Hmm where should I start. Started with acne since about the age of 13, tried a couple medicines like Bactrim and I forgot the name of the other during my teenage years. I ate like crap of course. At the age of 23 after what felt like a lifetime with Acne I was prescribed Accutane 60 mg for 6 months. Got all the classic side effects, dry skin, achy joints, etc, however I was acne free. About a year later it came back and I did another 6 month course. Fast forward to last year at the age of 25, I started out with a pain in my lower abdomen and constipation, felt like bloating. After several trips to the doctor telling him I felt like my gut was inflamed I was put through the MRI. The doctor said it was a mild case of diverticulitis and that I just needed to up my intake of fiber ::roll eyes::. After much research I have come to realize a couple of things.

1. I have leaky gut syndrome and some form of IBD

2. I have allergies to dust, cats and shellfish, probably also related to my gut health.

3. Bad gut bacteria was probably what caused my acne all those teenage years

4. Accutane might or might have not caused me IBD, could also have been years of bad gut balance.

5. Regulating my gut has become a mission of mine.

Recently in attempt to figure out what was wrong with me I took up a vegetarian diet on January 2 of this year. Fruits Vegetables and lots of WHEAT. Well about 5 days after eating like this I started with bad flare ups and nausea that continues today. After that incident I continued my research and Eureka. I must be intolerant to either wheat or dairy. I am on day 3 of eating meat eggs, fruit and vegetables (basically)

These are my supplements of choice.

Vitamin D

Udo's oil 3-6-9

Slippery elm- for gut healing

Magnesium citrate - for constipation

Inulin -prebiotic

Probiotic 10 strain- 50 billion

Chlorella

This regime is still new to me, I realize there will be some discomfort at first, will begin adding fermented food to my diet and cut sugar as much as I can. I will keep you guys updated and any advice is always welcome.

I am also very interested in using cannabis oil. Will be doing more reasearch.

Alrighty guys, I've been communicating with TA recently about his usage of RSO. He's given me permission to share the details of our convo. His answers to my questions are in red.

"Hello, sorry for slow response. Crazy with holidays and got promoted at work. But please see my answers to your questions below. Hope this helps!

i) Did you have any symptoms besides sexual dysfunction? I don't think so. However, I did experience depression and anxiety as a result of the sexual dysfunction. Post accutane, I had no ability to sexually perform and libido almost gone.

ii) Could you breakdown your sexual dysfunction? I.e. was it libido loss, ED, penile numbness etc. Could you also note severity? On a scale of 1-10, perhaps a 3. Low libido, unable to keep it up. Unable to have sex with my wife (she was baffled) Little penile numbness as well as shrinkage.

iii) You suffered with these side effects I believe for 18 months, when you started the RS Oil it took 3 months before you noticed significant changes and 5 months before you were fully recovered (if I remember this correctly). Did you notice any sort of recovery between accutane and RS oil? Could you detail the timeline of recovery while on RS oil? And if this recovery has maintained completely after RS oil? I took the RS oil for about 5 months, unable to remain on it any longer because I had to return to the States. Recovery was slow. At the beginning I was unable to keep it up, get aroused easily, get it up at will. Was nearly impossible to have sex with my wife without stimulents (we used chinese herbs thinking they were safer than Viagra). However, after using the RS oil for five months I noticed I could keep it up and have sex successfully W/O any stimulants.

iv) When you were creating the RS oil did you opt for specific strains such as Indica/Sativa or simply something with high CBD? Sativa was only available to me. Very high THC, most likely little CBD.

v) Did you grow yourself/ get someone to grow for you/ medicinal use license/ etc.? Went to foreign country and acquired buds through the help of friends then made the oil myself as directed from Rick Simpson.

vi) Anything else you can think of off the top your head which you believe to be of importance?
In conclusion, I want to say that I believe the RS oil helped me tremendously. However, I want to be honest and say that I don't think I've recovered completely since libido still comes and goes. However, I do have a stronger libido along with the ability to have sex w/o use of viagra or cialis.

Also i want to add that I took much time off work & went to a foreign country to take the RSO treatment. (it's completely legal in Uruguay) Took some risks & lost a lot of money, but I think it was worth it because I feel much better now & able to move on with my life. This may not be an option for everyone, for this reason CBD is worth exploring because supposedly it mitigates the high effects of THC."

So there we have it. From this I'm going to extrapolate and make a hypothesis or two. 1. If he had continued he would have seen continued improvement. (Rick Simpson himself says chemodamage requires longer to recover from from his personal experience) 2. I believe a higher CBD strain may have faster/stronger/better effects, this is simply from looking at some of the science nothing more.

We all have said it apparently, cannabis is helpful but not the solution, cannabis alone doesnt cure congestion, global toxicity, intestinal hyperpermeability etc.. You continue to miss the point, it's not to add new things to get better, it's about changing things, to stop doing harmful things to your body mainly by diet by stopping grains, legumes, dairy, eggs, meat, salt etc.. (so only fruits & vegetables).

Nice to see that i'm not the only one who get cured with diet and liver flushing (mainly) (;

I disagree Annonyy. I think there is a possibility that a CBD rich oil could be a solution. I don't know if you read the study I posted but in the study they poisoned rats and induced liver failure and brain damage and after administering CBD their liver function and brain function were restored. So if the liver and/or brain are key to our suffering (which I think they are) there is a chance CBD can resolve our problems. No one has even tried a CBD rich oil yet they've only used a THC rich oil. That being said I'm still going to try a liver flush or two.

Anonny you're aware ManitobaMountain didn't say he was 'cured'. He simply said he made huge improvements. TaneAbomination also says he made improvements but not a cure. AccutaneIsPoison seems to proclaim 'cure' but I have not yet managed to contact him.

I agree with diet being key for gastric issues as you do. My diet is salmon/chicken, fruit and vegetables, nothing else. I seriously doubt you can tell me with conviction that salmon/chicken is the reason I can't feel my bellend.

Not looking to start an argument or belittle beliefs. Just trying to inject a little objectiveness. Otherwise this will turn into a game of Chinese whispers everyone twisting everyone else's words.

I'm intrigued at the speed this occurred. Something like 12 days max by the looks of it, impressive. But hey I guess maybe pointing an x-ray at your cranium is safer than 'tane -_-

Fish & meat are really heavy to digest and poisonous for the body. The body doesnt have unlimited energy, if you eat poisonous and very hard to digest food he will not have energy for the rest, detoxification & repair. Fish is the hardest food to digest.
Diet is the key to everything concerning health. I already linked books & info about that, won't repeat myself.

I know about CBD, i already linked studies like that before. I took cannabis too, and i already said it was really helpful for me but not the solution (but it wasnt RSO).

If I was to be pessimistic but also seeing the silver lining then I would say RSO does not work. But it is still possible to spontaneously commence recovery if we were to look at TA and AIP. TA followed a paleo diet and from looking through his previous posts he just tried a bunch of other stuff which he didn't find too helpful. He did a 13 day fast though in the past and he seemed at the time to think it helped a little. AIP just 'ate healthy' which is subjective as hell in this day and age, everyones got a different opinion.

Do not misconstrue this as me saying RSO not working. Just simply that if hypothetically it didn't work, then TA and AIP made huge gains spontaneously for no reason. Which is still good news. It is possible for some at least to recover.
