I got prescribed for accutane last week, but for the first month it cost 350 bucks at Rite Aid with insurance!! Than 70 dollars for the following months even with my insurance. Does my insurance suck or is this normal? Is there any other pharmacies that would offer it cheaper? Im a broke college student but could pay the 350 because Accutane is worth it, I just wanna know if there is any other cheaper options before I go ahead and drop 350 bucks.

Thanks

Some insurances may have a preferred pharmacy but for the most part a co-pay is the same anywhere. The best thing would be to call your insurance they should be able to tell you why it's that much and if it may be cheaper somewhere else. I deal with insurance companies daily. .

If you think that's bad... My first month on 60mg a day was $750 out of pocket. A derm once told me insurance companies don't like to pay for acne scripts when you're over 26. :-/
