Ok... Sorry if this becomes long but I know how it feels to search the web up and down looking for hope for acne and scars. I started off just one year ago with pretty good skin (which at the time I thought was terrible but now I know). I ruined my skin by striving to have the perfect skin that I thought I didn't have. I will post pictures of my previous skin and current state.

Well it all started with having just simple big pores. I did a lot of research and discovered the oil cleansing method. This was a huge mistake! I ended up with hundreds of closed comedones that I couldn't get rid of. We tried a lot of things then my derm said we'll do you want to try accutane? So I figured why not, I've always had small breakouts before this so I figured never having acne again sounded wonderful! Wrong!!!!!!!! Accutane gave me a very very severe breakout which lead to scarring. And the worst part is after accutane I have more acne than I did before. Ok so I'll post the pictures relating to this so far before I go into my scar treatment. Pictures are as follows... Skin before anything when I wanted to just fix my pores, skin after oil cleansing, and skin during accutane.

Ok so now that I ruined my skin by striving to be stupidly perfect I'm doing scar treatments. So, so far I've done in this order... 2 smartxide fractional lasers, 2 full traditional co2 lasers, dermapen, and just had one more smartxide yesterday. I've spent over $10000 so far. I can tell you that traditional co2 was a mistake!!! It's very expansive and terrible down time for not enough results. It made my skin texture weird and pores bigger. Ok so the next group of pictures will be as follows... Skin right after accutane, skin after first traditional co2, skin after 2nd traditional co2, and

skin after tca and one derma pen.

So you can judge improvement but what I can tell you is honestly one dermapen I've seen more improvement than all the lasers I've done. So if I was to start over obviously I wouldn't have done accutane in the first place but as far as scars go I would have done the needling first then one co2. Now I did spend $4500 to buy my own dermapen so I will be continuing this till I get as close to no scars as possible. I do have just two scars that really bother me that you can clearly see in my last picture. They seem to get the least improvement. I guess they are boxcar scars. If anyone has suggestions on those that would be great! Well I just had my last laser treatment only because it was already paid for so I went ahead but after I'm healed from this in done with laser. Dermapen seems to help more. I will keep everyone updated on my journey to a scar free face!!!

Oh and just to add the reason I only posted one side of my face is because the other side doesn't have scarring bad enough to really see in pics. Only my right side ended up more scarred for some reason.
