In Feb 2019 I sent photos to Amy/Dr Rullan for evaluation and never uploaded them here because of the shame I felt looking at them. I will use these photos from 2019 as a point of comparison going forward. They were taken in the harshest lighting. I couldnt replicate the lighting exactly so keep that in mind.
Definitely at least 50% improvement so far!
Shei, you've come a really long way, your skin looks so much better than in 2019! Congrats! So you've had 3 Trios, 1x subcision with filler with Rullan, and the 3x cross, 1x sub and filler with Dr Benaham since then right? What do you think worked best for you and gave you the most improvement? Also I was curious if the subcisions with co2 laser from Dr Lim were good?

Yep I got a caretaker sorted so nothing to worry about. They make your caregiver sign a consent form.

Thank you! I have come a long way, Im very appreciative. Im hoping the peel will help with the texture and scarring. In normal lighting people dont notice my scarring which is nice.
I believe Ive had two trios and then on a seperate occasion sub and filler with Rullan. However I may be mistaken. And yep, mostly cross and filler with Dr Benaham. I had the most improvement in 2019 without a doubt. I did A LOT that year money wasnt an issue and I did acombination of treatments. The trio treatments with Rullan worked great, he does subcision SUPERaggressively and combined with filler it just worked well for me.
And for Dr Lim, the subcision and laser treatments worked well. He was the first dermatologist I saw for my scarring that I felt knew what he was doing and he used aggressive laser settings for my scarring. I wish I had my patient notes during that time but he has since changed clinics and I tried to email to no avail.

I have also asked what % of phenol will be used on my skin. She said different % of phenol is used depending on the area of the skin the phenol is applied to and depending on the patient.
Thank you! I will be on a liquid diet for at least a week and will be taking some pretty strong pain killers. Definitely never done anything like this before, so a lot to consider
That sounds great. So he's given you an idea of what you can expect.
And was specific.

How are you feeling? Hope recovery is going well and dont let water touch you mr face. Take all precautions.
I think the caretaker should be aware of the precautions.
Hoping you a speedy recovery, so happy to see others set goals and achieve it. I am super positive after this you would just need filler and thats about it.
Day 2 - my vision is a little better now and my eyes arent so swollen. If it keeps up Ill post some updates about the procedure experience later on

Wow!! This is extraordinary. Phenol peel, this is called, I will research it now. What was the price? Did they use numbing? Does your face itch or hurt? Can you ice your face to reduce swelling? Im extremely curious on how many days it might take to heal and whether or not this helps to remodel the scars dramatically. Im a big fan of you.
Day 3 - I honestly feel so terrible. My face is burning constantly and the pain meds arent helping much. Im going to try and sleep and post more updates when I feel better. This procedure is no joke.

Every time you feel this pain remind yourself how you felt when you used to see acne scars. I know you are feeling pain but this will put atleast your mind at ease as to why you went through this procedure. Also, maybe you need to contact dr rullan and ask for more powerful pain meds or doubling up the dose.
So you were not able to sleep for the last 2 days? We are here for you if you need to chat.

Day 3 was the worst day for me too. The next day, 90% of the pain is gone.

I was able to sleep the first day after the phenol, but day 2 and 3 have been rough for me. I have had broken sleep. I texted Dr Rullanand he seems to think Im doing ok with the mask and everything, hes not concerned. Hopefully by tomorrow or the next day the pain wont be so bad.

I hope this is the case for me lol. At some points the pain is almost unbearable.

Price: $6000 USD. You are given drugs through an I.V (fentanyl and versed). I dont remember a lot from the procedure if Im honest. You arent put to sleep but the meds will make any pain go away and time will go by very quickly. Yes, My face is very swollen but I cant touch or alter the powder mask by putting ice on my face. They have given me meds for my face if it begins to itch and hopefully Im not in pain for too much longer. Dr Rullan was pretty confident this procedure would do a lot for me because my scars have already been lifted significantly so heres hoping all this pain will deliver a fairly good result! The downtime with this procedure is no joke, so it will be a little while before I can comment on that.
Day four - I may have to reapply parts of the powder mask. I will message Dr Rullan shortly. I feel much better today, less burning and pain. I have however lost most of my voice (have no idea why lol). I am getting very sick of the liquid diet already.
I just wanna say you are very brave to go through all this and I hope you achieve amazing results

Thank you!
Day five - still hating the liquid diet lol but no pain just obviously the powder mask is really rigid and hard feeling. Not super uncomfortable.

My caretaker is my bf so no cost. Honestly I stayed in San Diego for one night enough to do day one and day two, then my bf drove us back to LA.
Serious Mass protein powder has a lot of calories.
