Hi guys, new to the forums. Sorry if this is technically in the wrong category. I used accutane to get rid of my acne about a year ago, and only got off of my treatment sometime late last year, or early this year. I forget. Anyway, ever since I've had got rid of my acne, I've developed weird lines all over my face. I believe it's from the scarring as I still have acne scars, and somehow lines came along. I am only 18 so aging is not the problem.
Does anyone have ANY idea what this could be? I can't even find a picture like my face when i google "multiple smile lines" or anything like that. Thanks for the help.
@Acnescarguy300Hi there, thanks for posting a picture, helpful. These are not scars. They are smile lines many have and tethered on your underlying muscles. As your young I will be careful recommending treatments.
With smile lines it's not always aging that causes the issue, your muscles make the smile there. If it tether's down your your athletic, thin, etc to the muscle then you have this.
You can have some subcision done there find a dermatologist close to you who can do this, see the FAQ located in the main scar treatments sub, bottom of that and your location.
You could try to soften them at home with dermastamping (amazon or google derminator) them monthly. At 18 I am hesitant to say laser.Start with the easiest, ... dermastamping at home and subcision.
