Hi what kind of treatments will make the larger scar on the temple look flatter?

It's a little hard to see. But from this angle, makes me think maybe TCA CROSS could help.

This Life is fleeting. You are beautiful as you are, and to be fair from that angle/light/photo I don't think you have much scarring to "treat". Hope this helps.

I have to agree with @Dontgiveupitsonlyscars

Sometimes acceptance is a great "fix" for minor scarring. But then again, I also see your perfectionism. That's exactly how I often feel. 😉

What side effects are you worried about with TCA?

Ive just read things on here about it making scars worse sometimes deeper and sometimes shallower which is good but at the cost of them widening

Ok gotcha. Yeah that can happen. So much about scarring and wound healing is genetic and it it hard to know how your inflammatory response will react to trauma, even if it's purposefully imposed trauma like TCA.

In most of the research that I did on TCA, the results were good and to me it seems like the go-to method for ice pick type scarring, but unfortunately, you kinda don't know until you try with scar treatments. I've known people first hand who did ablative laser and it didn't help at all, even though all the studies show it works so well. The same has been true with TCA, fillers, and all the rest.

I don't think you'll know until you try is what I'm trying to say. But let's do a thought experiment here. Let's say someone did TCA and the scars got less deep but ended up getting wider. Well, nothing is harder to treat than a deep scar I would say. So...I'm thinking as I write here...perhaps at least getting it less deep could be a step in a process, because at least when it's less deep (but wider), you could then get improvement with laser at that point. Y'know what I mean? I'm just trying to think what I would do if I were you and had this concern. Hopefully TCA would work, and if it does, great. And if it makes the scars less deep but wider, maybe you could have a plan B in your back pocket like, "ok I'll do laser if they get too wide." Just a thought, and the decision is of course yours. And always remember also that getting under the care of a really good person is half the battle here. Make sure you get treated by someone who is amazing and experienced at this, and don't undergo anything until you feel 100% confident that you found the right doc to do it for you.
