Hey all,

I was wondering if the Neutrogena PR Toner is a good idea for someone on the 4-5th week or so of Dan's Regimen. I'm experiencing pretty severe flaking (I use Neutrogena Moister SPF 15) and was wondering if the BHA and AHAs will help with that problem (even though the toner contains alcohol)?

Thanks

alcohol = BIG no-no :naughty:

also, I think Dan said somewhere on the regimen info that toners are basically crap and unnecessary. I'm sure someone will say as much too, but in my experience its a waste.

Toners are very drying especially one with alcohol. If you are doing DKR and want to use a toner in hope it will help dryness, it will only make it worse. Also this neutrogena pore refining toner contains SD alcohol so it renders the AHA/ BHA in it useless. You might be better of using a AHA moisturizer. Cool as kim deal who is a big fan of DKR uses Neutrogena healthy skin lotion that has AHA.

I realize this post is old but from what I have heard alcohol can help some products penetrate the skin better. On the other hand they can be totally drying. I have never heard of SD alcohol rendering Salicylic acid useless. I think it's actually in a lot of Salicylic acid peels. I have also heard that Salicylic acid isn't very water soluble. It is, however, alcohol soluble. That's just my two cents.
