This Is Insanity. (Waking Up With Bloody Cysts, Dried Blood On The Side Of My Face, Anxiety))

I've been under some intense stress this past week due to my insomnia and some of my anxiety issues, and on top of this all, I'm getting some really weird acne that I've never had to deal with before. I plan on making an appointment with my doctor in the morning, but until then, I need your help.

I have terrible body acne... I've been taking minocycline on and off for the past year and it seemed to be working well until this week.

I wasn't really sleeping, and when I did sleep, I woke up with dried blood on the side of my face where a pimple had been, and some bleeding spots behind my ears that I wasn't really picking at.

On my back right now, I have this bloody open sore about the size of a dime that wasn't there when I went to sleep about seven hours ago. There's no pain, and I tried cleaning it with an alcohol wipe, some polysporin, and covered it with a band-aid.

To expand on some of my acne issues... a lot of that is correlated with my acne.

I have this really weird phobia of skin infection... I feel that with each break in my skin I'm vulnerable for some crazy skin eating staph infection, or my skin will turn black and become gangrenous... it makes no sense, and at the back of my mind, I realize this... but I've still been losing sleep, and no matter how much I try to balance my anxiety with logic, I still feel terrible.

So I have some questions.

- Is this type of acne normal? Is waking up with blood on your sheets and a nasty looking (non-painful) sore normal?

- Is my fear of major skin infection unfounded? (I'm 17, with no real health issues that would compromise my immune system besides perhaps anemia)

- Could my use of anitibiotic ointment be causing this flare-up? I use it with pretty much open spot and have been for over a year now. I understand this could cause this bacteria to become resistant? What should I do instead to prevent infection?
