Oily Red Chin

Is there any way to get rid of it? I can literally see where the oily, red skin stops and the rest of my face begins - it's makes me look like a puppet, where the 'lines' are going from the corner of my mouth to the bottom of my jaw. And it's ONLY my chin, doesn't help that I have a bit of scarring there too. It just looks disgusting.

The patterns of breakouts and where our body produces oil is a little mystifying. I have yet to read anything that helps explain why one part of your face would break out more than the other, or why one part of your face would be oilier than the other.

If you moisturize, I would suggest stopping moisturizing that area. I would be very gentle in cleansing your chin as well. Lastly, you could try a variety of masks to soothe and get rid of the redness. I'm not sure what kindo of redness you're talking about (redness from irritation I'm assuming), but that's my final advice.

You get as much as you give. Could you post more details of your skin type, acne type, current regimen, and perhaps a picture?

Thanks for the reply. I definitely do not moisturize, as the rest of my face besides my chin is pretty healthy - nothing really drys it out, and it never really gets oily. My chin on the other hand... the difference is like night and day. 90% of the time it's pink or slightly red, no matter what I'm doing, and it's woefully noticeable. It'll just go from red to my natural skin color like that - imagine drawing lines down from the corners of your mouth and then coloring in your chin area red and leaving the rest of your face untouched - it's exactly like that.

I don't know if it's from irritation, or what, but I have a few very small pimples here and there, but none that could be causing redness over such a large area. And when I merely touch any part of my chin, or eat anything, it gets even more red temporarily. As far as the oiliness goes I can literally see and feel the oil on my chin, if I'm out in the sunlight it looks like I'm sweating profusely just on my chin. Doesn't help that I still have a few scars there. I think it's disgusting. I use nano cyclic silver to wash my face twice a day, drink over a gallon a water a day, eat -somewhat- healthily and constantly wash my hands and try not to touch my face. That's about as far as my regimen goes, if you can call it that.

I'll add pictures when I can.
