I'm 16, and I've basically been acne free since until February. Pimples here and there but only because I'm active. I've ate the worst foods for acne, all these fat processed foods because I was trying to get bigger for football. 2 scoops of whey protein and non stop milk everyday, it was all id drink. My parents had teen acne , both in sophomore year that cleared up by senior that was moderate, they do not have adult acne. How much longer is this going to last? I visited a derm and was prescribed doxy, tretinoin, and sulfacetamide. Here's a pic of my skin in September versus when I broke out in February. Yes it's corny but it shows how clear my skin is lol. I have no acne on my forehead, nose, chin,or lip area, just cheekspost-454238-0-54071600-1428806233_thumb.post-454238-0-79871900-1428806284_thumb.

I'm 17 dude, and its been slowing down. Same thing happened to me, started getting acne about a month after I turned 16, getting less and less now. Only the occasional breakouts however I'm still trying to get rid of the hyperpigmentation (dark spots), the ones evident in your 2nd picture.

Crazy because a month and half after I turned 16 that's when it hit me like it did for you,did it keep on going or was it just for a month? I think it might just be a growth spurt and my bodies acting all weird about it

It kept going for like 2 months, then slowed down a bit. I was basically clear till I hit college, then it slowly came back. Now im almost done with my freshman year and its getting pretty clear.

Yeah I know that feeling man, when you see all your friends getting acne when you were 12,13,14,15 and thinking "damn, i got good genes ill never get it" then it pops out when you're 16 lol

We are on the exact same page man this is weird!i have noticed it's stopped,as you can see in the pic it's all hyperpigmentation. Here is it today, it has lightened up a lot because I freaked out and made a derm appointment immediately ,so further damage could be prevented

I'm Asian Puerto Rican and the rest is white, so I'm not sure exactly how long it'll take to fade but this tretinoin stuff is really helping, after the terrible initial breakout :/

Good you got passed the initial breakout phase man, I took my acne topicals for like a month then just couldn't handle the initial breakout I just stopped it completely lol. Exactly the same for me, I saw a few pimples coming out I panicked like crazy and went straight to my derm.

Its fading pretty well bud, keep it up and you won't ever have to visit this website again in a few months time.
