Blood Bump/pimple

Yesterday I started to feel a slight bump forming on my cheek. I thought it was a mosquito bite at first but it didn't itch. I also couldn't really see it when looking at my face I'm the mirror. Today I saw a tiny purple spot, which looked like blood under the surface of my skin. There is no white stuff or red inflammation like a typical pimple, but it feels like there's something in there. The more I messed with it and tried to squeeze it to see if anything would come out, the darker it got, like more blood pooling under the surface. Nothing comes out, it is not popped. Just a dark, raised bump. What is this and how can I get rid of it? My face is otherwise clear.

i have gotten those as well. i really wouldnt advise popping it because it will leave a nasty scar, i can advocate for that. best get some antibiotics and let it go away on its own. keep on eye on your acne as this is exactly how my five year long issues with acne started.

its just pure blood under there, i belive its infected as well.

Hey @BusyLizzyI know this was posted years ago but I am experiencing this issue currently and couldn't find any more recent posts! How did you ultimately get rid of it, if you remember? I'm contemplating poking it with a needle to see if it will drain but I'm afraid of scarring. For some context, I had a small whitehead/blackhead on my chin that I THOUGHT was close enough to the surface to try to squeeze out - I was wrong. It immediately swelled even though I applied very light pressure and turned into a blind pimple. So for days after I used a hot compress, poked it a little to create an opening, and applied Prid's salve each night until it came to a head. It finally did yesterday and I squeezed but stopped as soon as I saw blood. Immediately after all the pus was out (hopefully) it began to pool blood under the skin so I tried Prid's again to see if it would draw the blood out. It is bright red today and looks like a purple/black bruise with makeup over it. Any suggestions or advice would be incredibly helpful before I do something dramatic!! lol
