Hello everyone. I'm a 16-year-old girl who suffers from whiteheads. I used to have decent skin before I turned 15. I started wearing heavy foundation when I was 14 and it was the worst decision I have ever made in my whole entire life. I started to develope oily skin due to hormonal changes and ended up clogging all my pores with the foundation. I went from getting one or two pimples here and there on my period to having to deal with whiteheads all over my cheeks. I have all these whiteheads all over my cheeks and along my jawline. I stopped wearing makeup completely and i haven't put any makeup on my face for 6 months now. I have recently started using salicylic acid products and bio drying lotion and they are both doing really well for me. However, I keep getting whiteheads again and again which makes me really frustrated because my mom and sister both have really nice skin. I haven't tried using benzol peroxide products yet because I have read mixed reviews about it. The internet says it treats whiteheads really well but some people say it made them break out even worse. I also went to a place to extract these whiteheads but the lady wasn't doing a really good job and she left ugly scars and black marks all over my face. My pores are huge and ugly.  My skin is clear about 60% now but the whiteheads are still visible and my skin is not smooth at all. Can somebody help me to find a treatment that really combats these whiteheads and makes them go away for good. I'd do anything to get rid of them. ALso, if anyone can recommend me some products to fade my acne scars and black marks on my face. I also have a little bit sun spots and uneven areas.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate your help.

THIS IS MY FACE AFTER USING SALICYLIC ACID PRODUCTS FOR A FEW WEEKS. It definitely cleared my skin but my skin becomes red and flaky. as you can tell, the whiteheads are still there and my skin still looks awful.

Please give me advices and recommend some products. I'm doing acne diet, trying to reduce my dairy intake and drink more water. Thanks so much you guys.

Do the bumps have white tips on them? If not, they kind of look more like comedones to me (clogged pores). Do some image searching.

If they are clogged pores and not white heads, bp is not going to work as well as SA. But if you really do think they are whiteheads, try BP.For most people, myself included, BP works really fast, overnight, to improve whiteheads. So, if you can afford the risk of purchasing it to try it, I think you should. But if you are scared it will make you break you out more, only use it on a small area on your face to see.

You say that SA products work? Unlike BP, SA usually doesn't provide instant results as it works to breakdown what is inside the pore and release it. So perhaps tone back the use of the product to every two days or whatever you think will work. Glycolic acid or (AHA) is often used in conjunction with SA and may help your flakiness as it exfoliates the surface of the skin, so that's one topical you could look into.

I also agree that reducing dairy is very good idea to see if it has an effect on your skin.
