Hi, Im in desperate need of help.

I had my baby 4 months ago and ever since have been seriously breaking out. I have tried salicylic acid,
natural remedies,
Changing my diet, no gluten, diary, sugar
Topical antibiotics

Nothing seem to work and the acne/pimples/pumps seem to be getting worst everyday.

It is now really effecting me emotionally /my self esteem and I don™tknow what to do with it. Any advice will be highly appreciated. Thank you for reading.

P.S. The two picturs attached are on my cheeks

Hey, congratz on the newborn baby!
So after getting birth you might have problems with hormonal shifts as you might know failry well (better than me at least).
For how long have you been on the diet? And for how long have you used the different products?

im not a doctor but a quick google search says there can be a vitamin deficiency after childbirth? - there is lots of research to say some people with acne have vitamin deficiencies also.

do a bit of research on vitamins and acne. some members say taking them, really help.

yes I have heard after a baby your hormones can be all over the place especially when you breastfeed which Im but my face is on fire (yes they do hurt) and im so miserable with it.

i have just started the diet about 3 weeks ago.
for the topical antibiotic that was prescribed by my doctor used it for about 6 weeks before stoping when it didnt do anything for me.

So far Im on the special diet that started 3 weeks ago. As well as salicylic acid (started 1 week ago).

I also use Black african soap for my face wash every evening and burts bee gentle foaming cleanser every morning.

All right Jenni, just keep on with the diet and everything. I am sure it will be sorted out when you stick to your plan with good diet (omega 3s, vitamins and vegetables etc.) and a proper skincare routine.
Keep us posted on you progress,
Take care :)

Aww I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this! Do you find what you're doing currently is helping at all?

I would highly recommend Rodan + Fields Unblemish line or Pro-Activ. I have cystic acne and these were the only 2 products that ever worked (Unblemish moreso than Pro-Activ). I don't break out anymore, after 6 months of using it religiously.

A little update.

So I had no new pimple coming out out for the last 7 days on my cheeks (had 2 odd ones on my chin  2 forehead, 1 on the side)

im still sticking with my diet and skin care regime. However since my right cheek was severely affected im very worried on how things are healing. I have attached an update picture. The scar looks are really dark (bit like as if the area was healing from burned) and my skin is slightly bit raised (keloid?) im really praying it is not.

By the way before the picture attached the whole area was covered with scabs

any insight would be appreciated and if anyone had a healing scar like me and was able to clear it over time. Thank you so much

in regard to what im currently doing yes and no. The area that was severely effected are my cheeks  and have not had any pimple in that area for the last 7 days however been getting odd pimples here and there on other places on my face so not sure really if i should continue with it or find something else

I went through the same problem during and after I had my daughter. I had acne-prone skin to start with but I had cleared it up BOOM i got pregnant within a few weeks after I found out I was pregnant I begin breaking out like CRAZY !!!!!!! huge cystic pimples the whole nine yards. I was so embarrassed, my self-esteem was shot and I went my entire pregnancy with it. I went to my dermatologist and she told me she couldn™t help because I was pregnant but come back after I had my baby. I went back almost a year after I had my daughter and my dermatologist told me I may have to go back on Accutane as I have severe acne blah blah blah but I knew it would be an issue because I™m still breastfeeding my now 14 month old daughter. She prescribed me Clindamycin and Benzoyl Peroxide 9% and pills that I haven™t used because it isn™t safe while breastfeeding.. She told me it wasn™t going to clear me up but she was preparing me for the Accutane so use it for a month and come back. Well I™ve been using those topical creams along with AHA+ and Meladerm (for hyperpigmentation) as my skin scars really easy. I am also doing daily aloe mask.

I™ll post pictures below from when I was pregnant, after baby, and now. Also be been tracking my recent journey on my profile with products and photos

i didn™t take many pictures while I was pregnant without makeup because I was so ashamed but the photos are in order from during, after, me now. The 3 photos before the very last photos are from TODAY. Be the VERY last picture is before I was pregnant. I™m still working to get to the pre pregnancy skin !!

Also I™m still breastfeeding!

I know how stressful this process an be and how desperate you feel to find a solution but it will all work out ! Congratulations on your little one.

@BeyouuuuThank you so much for sharing your story and pictures. It helps knowing Im not alone in this as it totally sucks! After a week of going pimple free today I woke up with several on my cheeks. its vicious circle.

How do you do the aloe mask? Also wha you think of acne.com skin care regime? I'm thinking of giving it a try.

@jenni56
I totally understand how frustrating it can be especially when you think you™re making headway and suddenly you start breaking out again but ...

I purchased a fresh aloe plant and I just slice a piece of the bottom off then cut that piece directly down the middle, I rub the gel all over my face and let it dry. Once it™s completely dry I was it off with warm water. I wrap the rest the bottom of the remaining aloe and store it in the fridge.

I used the acne.org regime before I had my daughter and it worked wonderfully. I tried it again after I had her but it was effective but that doesn™t mean it will not work for you. I used I facial cream I™m using now before I was pregnant and it didn™t work but now it™s keeping me clear. It™s weird but you™ll find something that works for you! :)
