Hi all, im a 24yo male (UK based) and after neevr suffering with acne through my life at the age of 23 my forehead acne journey started. From what i remember i had dabbled with facewashes (working outside a lot) to try and have nice skin as previously i never bothered with a routine. Then around September 2021 i noticed i had a lot of spots just on my forehead to the point where co workers were asking what had happened (so i knew they had become noticeable). I began using Acnecide Benzoyl Peroxide facewash which helped it out to a degree and then I came across MDacne which supplied a Salicylic Acid facewash, BP night cream and a moisturiser containing niacinamide. Fast forward to around April this year and I decided to quit that as my progress had stalled with about 80% of my acne now gone. I went back to just washing with water but applying a moisturiser and SPF. During the summer my forehead would now be very oily and I'm certain it never used to be this oily in the past. I tried allsorts niacinamide serum, cermide creams (possibly thinking the moisture barrier was damaged), hyaluronic acid serum, Cerave Hydrating Cleanser (this didn't really help) rosehip oil , basically anything that said it could stop exess oil and reduce spots but nothing would calm the oiliness down and I would still get probably a couple of 'good size' spots a week. During all of this I was taking a Zinc Supplement and a probiotic supplement. Fast forward to September i thought now the heat has gone my oily forehead would calm down (after thinking maybe it was the summer heat) but even now its still pretty oily and I use just Simple Refreshing Face gel wash as I wanted to really go back to basics in case it had anything to do with past treatments. 3 days ago I read about vitamin D and how it can really help dry up excess sebum and counter acne so I'm taking 1 5000iu supplement a day but my forehead seems to still be oily, will it take a while to work and are there other method/treatments people who have has similar issues with that have used to rid them of the excess shine and spots once and for all? Sorry for thr story but didn't want to miss anything out. 1st photo is 12 months ago, 2nd photo is today
