Hey everyone, I've struggled with these scars for the last 10 years. Areas affected are around the mouth and the temples where they are the worst. Have had several microneedling treatments over the years and very little improvement is ever made. Filler has worked marginally but of course it's not long-lasting and runs me 1K/year. I wear sunscreen constantly throughout the day and retinol (w/ hyaluronic acid) at night.

I've had enough. Would you say that subcision would provide some results for these scars? Thanks for your time.

Scott

Subcision helps a bit, but not a ton. Scarring is such a tough thing to really improve. Have you checked the scars pages? That should give you a very good background on the options. Studies show that several things really work pretty well, but then again, in real life, it depends on the person, and sometimes even when studies show great improvement, in real life, it's less impressive.

Maybe start with TCA Cross and some lasers. Consult with your derm to see if oyu need subcision.
