Hi! I've been taking Diane 35 for over a month. Currently in the beginning of the second cycle. For the past 2 days though I noticed parts of my face going numb (it's happened a couple times before, but smaller areas and not 2 days in a row). Also I'm getting chest tightness, as if I was having some major panic attack. I've also been using Azelaic Acid 20% for these past 2 days, so I'm not sure which one it is. I don't have insurance atm so I can't do a scan or go to a doc. What should I do?

If you seriously think it's related to the pill then I highly advise you to go visit the doctor. I don't know how it works when you don't have insurance (I'm from Canada), but it's worth the money to pay if it's serious.

But if that's really not the option, then you should stop Diane for a few days and see if the symptoms subside. If not then stop using the Azelaic Acid and see if that helps. However if you can't seem to find what's causing it then please go see a doctor. It's better than trying to diagnose yourself online

I am NOT saying this is necessarily the case with you, but a couple years ago when I had a scare where I thought I had MS, I had those symptoms for months. They ended up just being due to stress. I know you've been stressed about your skin because of your other posts. Stress does scary things to the body!!!

If you really do think it's from the pill, though, I would stop it. I haven't looked extensively into potential side effects of Diane 35 (because if I do, my mind will MAKE them happen). Are numbness and chest tightness listed as side effects?

Ok, I looked into Diane 35 side effects briefly and it says to stop taking the pill immediately and seek medical attention if you experience certain symptoms and numbness is one of them. At the very least, I'd stop taking the pill, even if you can't afford the see a doctor. Like I mentioned, stress can cause crazy symptoms but it could be risky to attribute your numbness to stress in this case. Hope you feel better soon!!

Yeah, I switched from Diane to Yaz yesterday. So instead of Diane I took a Yaz pill. I'm really terrified what it will do to me, though. The two have different ingredients, I bet it will unleash an even bigger shitstorm on my face. I didn't even let my body adjust to Diane first and I'm already switching, and 5 days into the cycle. Ah well, fingers crossed. Same thing happened on Yasmin, I got the chest tightness 2 days in a row before I stopped. Havent tried it since. But never happened with Yaz, so I'm guessing that's a safe bet.
