Hi All,
Just really need advice and opinions.
To cut a long story short I have suffered acne since my teens - it was never severe severe but very persistent.
I was on accutane for 9 months when I was 24 and now Im 28 and it has returned.
the first breakout happened after I had my first child and then after accutane I had my second child and my skin after accutane was perfect and all oil was gone but last year I started experiencing more breakouts and then this year its breakout after breakout.
I know my gut health is poor and I have been seeking holistic treatment.
Im in two minds and just need advice experiences and opinions
Can acne be treated/ reduced by diets supplements fixing gut health etc Or is it solely through by medications.
I havent been to a dermatologist yet and my other concern is that it will get so much worse and it will lead to roaccutane .

Hi! Not a derm but just wanted to recommend following ClearStem Skincare on Instagram. It's a female owned company that was started by women that both struggled with cystic acne (one with a background in biology, who started her own acne clinic, and the other who was a client of hers who has a background in functional nutrtion). This isn't an ad or anything like that- I've just learned so much from following them and watching their lives. They give so much information, tips, and tricks that you can implement into your life to tackle acne. They cover it all; food, supplements, skincare, makeup, personal care products, gut health, inflammation, etc. They talk about pore clogging ingredients in products and what to avoid. Sneaky ingredients and/or vitamin levels in foods. They are a goldmine of info! And acne/skincare IG is a wealth of info too; so many good tips and tricks to try out to fight acne. Hope this helped, good luck!
