Diet doesn't decrease my oil, and I'm a male, so I can't take hormonal treatments. I don't want to decrease androgens anyway. So it seems my two options for oil are Accutane and laser treatments to shut down the oil glands.
Here's a video about photodynamic therapy:
Has anyone tried this or something like it?
Bad reaction to Photo Dynamic Therapy? I've heard a Laser Therapy could possibly destroy the sebaceous glands if the intensity if set to a particular range, a very strong one. I think it should be a different type of laser such as a CO2.
What type of laser was it that go the bad reviews?
I've had levulan with blue light, it works. It also temporarily stops oil glands in their tracts, so you are oil free for about a month after.
Results are not permanent, you have to get a series of treatments to keep it up, but it does work.
Side note. High dosage levulan/red light is a permanent solution unlike with the regular dosage with levulan/blue light.

Hey that sounds promising! May I ask some questions?
How oily was your skin before you did the treatment? Was it extremely oily, as in, wash your face and half an hour later you can see the oil coming out? And how much would you say your oil production decreases? How much does the treatment cost?
So basically you'd just need a treatment every month?
Thanks.
