First time post! Although I have frequented this site over the years.

Anyway, I have the most unrelenting red mark on the tip of my nose that refuses to go away. Its been there for near a decade.

8 years ago I did my one and only cycle of accutane and during this time I got a cyst on the tip of my nose which I popped in the middle of the cycle. I also severely sunburnt this nose before my cycle of accutane, burnt to the point where it blistered bad.

So I don't know which caused this redmark, but its there and its permanent. When I first went to a dermatologist years ago, the doctor said rosacea and gave me Metro Gel. It didnt work. I went to another dermatologist years later and he told me the redness was from broken capillaries under my skin, and he suggested light therapy. Well I did the light therapy (it felt like a rubberband snapping my nose) but it did nothing. I stayed out of the sun like they suggested and still, nothing.

So I want to know if anybody else has a problem like this, and are there any methods besides the ones I listed to remedy my Rudolph syndrome???

That's interesting. Can you post a picture? I'm sorry I can't help you, I don't have experience with red marks. Most of my hyperpigmentation is more brown/gray anyway and it usually fades in a few months. Does it look like broken capillaries to you? I would think some sort of laser could help with that.
