Hey Guys, i had developed a very late but severe acne on my back and shoulder area (I am 28), i took accutane for about a year und it helped me a lot, i just recently stopped but i think i will need another treatment, because it seeme there is like little pimples coming back, but not the big inflammed ones.
To get on the topic....
I have really bad PIHP on all over my back, and so i started like 3 months ago the PicoSure Treatment at a local Dentist. After 3 Treatments i was not seeing any results, so he increased the Intensity and tested it on a smaller Area on my back, it has been about 3 weeks now, and the area has just became darker, i heard it is normal for the pigmentation to become darker first, but i think it should already have been vanished after 3 weeks or not ? Could it have been because i was on accutane ?
Is there anyone with a similar experience?
Would it be wise to get a tan, so the red areas are not that apparent, or would it worsen the PIHP ?

Thank you for your time reading this! 🙂

Here is a recent picture of my back (you have been warned) : https://ibb.co/5rWwt0R

Hmm. Yeah laser is often the go-to treatment for hyperpigmentation.

Did you ask your doc (dentist? I don't understand why a dentist?) these questions? What did he/she say?

As far as getting a tan, I wouldn't do that until you ask them. Sun exposure just makes hyperpigmentation last longer. You'd want to wait until you're completely done with any treatments before you did that I would suspect.

Also, looks like you have scarring so this is one of those situations where I'd say you're gonna also have to practice some self-acceptance of what's going on. Even if you get the hyperpigmentation down, you'll still have some scarring. Just one thing that makes you more interesting 🙂
