Pros:

Great deal, how much product you get for the price
Convenient pump bottle

Cons:

Makes me break out
Doesn't moisturize well, just sits on top of my skin sort of like a greasy film
On the 1st use this really irritated my skin, burned and itched, allergic reaction maybe?
Felt oily

Honestly, I really did want to like this. A lot of reviewers with sensitive and acne prone skin gave this high ratings, and having that same skin type I was hopeful this would be the end-all-be-all moisturizer. I tried this multiple times, and every time it was a disaster. The first time I used it I think I had an allergic reaction, but I still persisted. After that it just felt greasy and broke me out. It never really 'absorbed' into my skin and felt unpleasant, by the end of the day I couldn't wait to wash this off. It also didn't moisturize well. I had high hopes for this product because I too have trouble finding moisturizers that don't irritate my skin or make me break out. And pleaseeeee don't rate me down for this, I notice that whenever someone gives a bad rating for a product a lot of people like they get a bunch of thumbs down. I don't know why. I just wanted to share my experience with this moisturizer, I'm not saying this will break everyone out, I say still try it. Bottom line, I have really sensitive skin and this irritated my skin badly.

The company changed formula.
I've had great succes with cerave lotion with coral kavi. I started using this lotion since 2011 and had a great skin that was glowing. However, after buying a new bottle in september of 2015, i started breaking out in random places that i normaly don't break out. My regimen didn't change for 4 years and i was wondering what could have been the cause. First i thought my soap just stopped working. I kept using this lotion with different acne treatments and my situation only got worse. So i had to track my product history and decide what was causing this sudden breakout. Found out, cerave changed the company and the formula! You can google it and see what people are saying about this. The ingredients look the same from the previous bottle but the company changed it and didn't let the customers know because they were afraid to lose their customers. If you have been using cerave, you will notice bottle used to be smaller. It just kept getting bigger bigger and bigger every 2 years or so. This lotion is very comedogenic. Especially people with combo or oily skin, avoid this product.

Absolutely LOVE this!
This is my first review on here but think this is definitely worth it! I have moderate to severe acne which is mostly cystic and have had for about 7 years now. I will be going on accutane/isotretinoin on the 30th of August so I have decided to start my regime early! I have purchased this moisturiser due to all the good reviews and feedback on blogs, vlogs and threads for accutane. I have been using this just over a week and the difference is unbelievable!! My skin feels so much more hydrated, it is not greasy at all and it really does what it says. It creates a moisturising barrier for your skin so your skin really feels protected. I find it is a great base for makeup and feels like it doesn't let the makeup sink into my skin and clog my pores. I have found I don't even need to use a primer!! Also the difference I have noticed is my skin feels much more plump and my acne scars seem like they're fading. I am using this in conjuction with Cetaphil gentle cleanser which I have noticed soothes my redness however this moisturiser seems to soothe even more! My skin looks a lot less irritated, less red and my hyper-pigmentation is diminishing. If anybody has any questions feel free to ask :) I am going to be doing frequent posts on my profile about my accutane experience which I hope helps any other people out there in limbo over taking accutane or on the same journey as me :)

May I know what cleansers and toner you are using? Thanks!

I have tried the cetaphil cleanser before and i didn't feel like it was effectively cleaning my skin. i am now using neutrogena's hydro boost gel cleanser and it's amazing. it's super gentle, removes my makeup, and leaves my skin feeling plump. i have hated ALL neutrogena products until i tried this. i also use the cerave moisturizer and it's the BEST.

I use the Cetaphil gentle cleanser to wash my face, and apply benzoyl peroxide on my acne, do you think it is recommended to use this moisturizer even if I have an oily acne prone skin type and this says normal to dry skin?

Pros:

great moisturizer, non greasy, smooth skin, doesn't irritate skin, eliminates redness, and evens skin tone!

Cons:

balls up a little if applied over BP (use jojoba oil, or rub on and pat until absorbed), and it's a little expensive but so WORTH IT!

This is the best moisturizer I have used since beginning Dan's regimen. I would recommend this to EVERYONE for all skin types! It leaves your face feeling better than every moisturizer I have used! I switched from Dan's moisturizer to cetaphil because Dan's burned my face to no end and really didnt moisturize that well, however cetaphil left me a greasy mess. So in came ceraVe and I will never turn back! Dan REALLY NEEDS to try this and get back to us so he can add it to his recommended products page.

Pros:

-lasts all day
-not greasy
-non-irritating
-noncomedogenic
-absorbs fast
-fragrance free
-last a while (14 ounces)

Cons:

slightly expensive, but worth the price

CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion is great! It does not irritate at all, I cannot even feel that it's there. I'm no longer taking a risk of breakouts when I use a moisturizer. This does not make your face look shiny either

Pros:

Very light lotion, keeps skin moisturized but not oily, gives you a very natural shine, makes skin feel smooth!

Cons:

None!

I have been using Cerave for almost 5 years now. I love this lotion. It's so lightweight, it doesn't feel like you're putting thick lotion on your face. It's definitely worth the price, and they frequently have coupons available online!!

Pros:

Really creamy and rich but still liquidy
Didn't burn or irritate my sensitive BP/ Retin-A skin
Cheap

Cons:

None

Great product. I wanted something plain and not irritating. All of the stuff they sell either has alcohol, acne fighters or is anti-aging for moisturizers. I don't have wrinkles, and the alcohol and acne fighters are what dry out my skin. This lotion is so great.

Pros:

-moisturizes well

Cons:

-MADE ME BREAK OUT
-stung
-left my skin feeling weird and stinging all day

I have VERY delicate, sensitive, oily, acne-prone skin. So my dermo gave me this stuff to use for my BenzaClin (which btw, dried my skin out completely) and i did. At first, it didn't sting at all, moisturized really well, and got rid of my crustyness. I thought it was perfect. Then after a week or so, it: -started stinging -left my skin feeling sun-burned -made me more crusty and oily -and gave me PIN-SIZED WHITEHEADS all around my chin and forehead- about 50 of them! It was disgusting! Now I will never, ever use a product unless it says oil-free. Bottom line: DON'T USE IF: -your skin is naturally oily -your skin is delicate -you're prone to keratosis(which I have) or eczema(it's a sign of allergies and sensitive skin) I would ONLY recommend to people with extremely NATURALLY dry skin(not dry b/c of a medication). Believe me, I know what I'm talking about. I've had skin issues all my life and see a dermo monthly. And btw, if you have skin like mine, i recommend Neotrogena Sensitive Skin Oil-free moisturizer. Hope I helped. (NOTE: this is my honest opinion from experimentation, and I have weird skin)
