Pros:

Helped control acne and oil initially. Used at bedtime after washing face with Oxy Wash. Needed a good anti-sebum moisturiser during the day. Worked a miracle with Erythromycin

Cons:

After prolonged use, effect wears off unless other treatments are added

Helped me banish my acne!

Pros:

Very Cheap, you can buy it in so many places, can wear it under make-up, and most importantly - it works!!!

Cons:

Results are addictive - even when my skin is clear, I still use it and worry that my skin will get bad over night if I don't!

I have suffered from acne for the past ten years, and have come to terms with the fact I will never truly be rid of it. However, Quinoderm has brought it completely under my control - I no longer get large, painful cyst-like spots, and I swear my skin heals faster! My scarring seems to have faded also. My skin has also developed a restance to its drying effects, and I feel confident using an ordinary, non-acne-treatment cleanser. Excellent product - I just hope they keep making it!! Bottom line is, I started using Quinoderm 4 years ago, and my acne has gone from severe and soul destroying to the odd hangover pimple. Maybe its a result of getting older, but nevertheless, my skin has recovered miraculously from its pre-quinoderm damage.

its ok
I had bad acne on my forehead and it cleared it up I find it also helps with my oily skin too. When I first used it it wasn't pleasant I had dry skin, redness and I felt a burning sensation. I used 10% then and still do now I find if I don't apply this on my face especially my forehead I break out like mad and my skin is very oily so this keeps it under control. At first its not pleasant but your skin gets use to it and it will help clear your acne and control it!

Amazing results!
I had mild acne on my forehead and it made me feel so low and lowered my confidence a lot, nothing I tried seemed to work and I'd been trying to clear my skin for 6 months. My mam's friend who is a pharmacist recommended quinoderm 5% cream and at first i was extremely wary of using it as I didn't want my skin to become worse. However I decided to use it, for the first few weeks, the smell of the cream was so strong and every time I put it on it made my skin sting and turn red. After a week or so of using it my skin became very dry and started to peel, so every day I gently buffed the area using a cotton pad and small circular motions to remove the dead skin. Along with this I used the vitamin E moisture lotion and oil from the body shop to keep my skin moisturised. After a few weeks of this, my skin stopped peeling, the irritation and redness stopped and the smell of the cream was much less noticeable for me. I've now been using the cream for three months and I don't have a single spot, so happy I used it and a lot of people ask me what I used to clear my skin, would definitely recommend it to anyone! :D (Along with using the cream, I was very strict with my skin routine, I improved my diet, drank more water, did more exercise and tried to reduce stress levels as much as possible.)

Pros:

Dries out and kills big spots, makes blackheads appear less visible, slightly calms acne at first.

Cons:

Extremely dry skin, causes skin to become very sensitive, flaky skin, rashes, itchiness, redness, made acne worse, too harsh on skin, hard to apply makeup over it, burns skin, stings, constant tight and numb feeling, leaves skin feeling sore, causes big red painful spots once you stop using it, dyes hair, stains clothes and pillows, etc.

My GP prescribed Quinoderm 10% cream to me for my ongoing problems with acne on my forehead, nose, mouth and chin area. I performed the sensitivity test behind my ear and there were no problems other than slight redness for a while so I applied the cream to the problem areas. I was told to use it two to three times a day but I couldn't do this as it was too strong. As soon as I put the cream on there was a horrible stinging, burning, throbbing and tightening sensation which continued all day. The next day I started to have difficulty moving my face; it was stiff, sore and uncomfortable. I used the cream for 3 days, applying only a thin layer once a day until I decided I couldn't cope with the pain anymore. I stopped using it immediately as my face was swollen, red, inflamed, blotchy, agony to touch and uncomfortable for me to even move my mouth to eat. It was itchy all over and had brought me out in multiple rashes. The best way I could describe the way my skin felt would be to say that it felt as if it had been burned. The areas in which I had put the cream felt burnt, dead and extremely dry. It isn't just the slight kind of 'dry skin' side effect I was warned about from my doctor, it left my skin literally feeling like sandpaper. I moisturized my skin three times a day in the hope I would regain normal feeling skin but this was not the case. A week after my last treatment of Quinoderm and my skin is still tight, sore and dry. My skin is flaky and peeling and stings horrendously every time I apply moisturizer. I am going back to my GP to try and get something to make my skin feel normal again. Not only have I had these awful side effects but my acne is worse than ever and is spreading. It's made me feel depressed, and I can't even bring myself to leave my house because of the state my skin is in due to Quinoderm. Although I understand some people have had positive results with this cream I would definitely not recommend it to anyone due to the experie

Pros:

Cleared my skin up. LOVE IT.

Really good value for money. I got three tubes for about £10 and it lasts for ages.

Cons:

It does dry your skin out a bit and this can someime make it a bit red but this lessens after the first few weeks. Just make sure you moisturize well.

Bleaches fabrics

It does take time but then so does everything when it comes to acne. You just have to stick with it. I've been using it morning and evening for nearly a year now and my skin has improved massively. I would say this time last year I had moderate acne and now I only get the occassional spot now and then. I can't live without it.

Pros:

Very effective, inexpensive, readily available.

Cons:

This cream really dries out your skin, it stings a little when you put it on (not really a con in my opinion, but just so you know).

I initially only bought this 10% Quinoderm Cream while waiting for my acne.org regimen to arrive. I do not have very severe acne compared to some other people and the photos I've seen on this site, but I do suffer from an ongoing attack of lots of red, angry, pussy spots, especially around my mouth and cheeks. This cream has really worked in clearing up my problem areas. Everyone says it dries out your skin, and it does, it really dried out mine, so just make sure you moisturise, because I didn't. My acne.org order arrived this morning, I ordered the regimen, the AHA+ and the Jojoba oil. I've been very impressed by the Quinoderm cream, it really cleared up my spots. I'll let you know how I get on with Dan's PB. I really recommend it.

Pros:

Very affordable

Cons:

Did not agree with my skin - it turned incredibly dry and scaly - redder than ever. Bleached my bedsheets/pillowcases (although it does warn on the packaging)

After reading all of the reviews on this site, I was feeling very optimistic at trying out this product but after several months use (5%), I've decided to stop using it as I have noticed no improvement. If anything, my skin is in a worse state than ever.

Pros:

It actually works!

Cons:

Stings a little, doesnt smell too good and can bleach fabrics.

It might sound like a cliché but I have tried EVERYTHING and this is the ONLY thing which has worked for me. Ok I'm 26 and get spots on a regular basis not big one but little annoying ones which leave blemishes in the end. I have tried every cream going and every herbal treatment. I have changed my diet (which I still believe is a contributing factor to acne whether its major or minor factor is still debatable). I had ran out of my usual PanOxyl Gel and went into my sisters room who was advised by her doctor to use Quinoderm so I thought I'd use it and buy more PanOxyl the next day. Well after using it and seeing the results the next morning I decided never to use PanOxyl ever again as this was so much better, less drying, no red marks and my spots had calmed down considerably. After using it for 2 weeks there has been a major improvement to my skin-Thank god for Quinoderm!

Pros:

Is the only product that has worked for me - ever.
Is very affordable
IT WORKS!!

Cons:

Dries up your skin
You feel a burning sensation when first using this product - although this does go away after the first few weeks

I have tried pretty much every spot treatment out there and Quinoderme is the only one, i repeat, the ONLY ONE that has worked for me! Yes, it did make my skin exceedingly dry and flaky for the first few weeks, but you can use this treatment and moisturise which i find balances out my skin to a perfect level! I would recommend this product to anyone and everyone that suffers from acne, it is a life saver!
