Pros:

EVERYTHING

Cons:

-cleanser was a little bit strong, but not too overwhelming
-very light peeling, but for first couple of days

I've dealt with acne for YEARS now and it's been my biggest insecurity. I used to have very light acne, until I started ProActiv. Once I stopped, my acne got REALLY bad! I tried going back onto ProActiv but it got so much more worse and started to make my skin really oily. I've tried everything from home remedies, to dermatology prescribed creams, over-the-counter facial cleansers and nothing has worked until THIS. The lady at Clinique said it would take about 6 weeks, but I've only been using it for about 4 weeks and I've seen MAJOR improvement. The first couple of days, my skin was no longer oily, but my skin actually glowed. All my friends and family saw a difference, and I was so much more happier. In all honesty, this is the first review I've ever done for any product I've tried because this is how much I am in LOVE with this. I can't believe I've tried almost everything to get to this simple 3-step product. It's amazing and I highly recommend it. My acne has gone away & I am only dealing with acne scars that are fading day by day.

Pros:

Clears up redness
Big acne improvement
Clean, Fresh feeling after washing
Soft skin
Blackheads shrinking :)

Cons:

I was stupid and used the drying out moisturizer all over my face... It dried every inch of my face out and caused it to become flaky. Just use the moisturizer, a pea size amount, on trouble areas. Otherwise, I used another lotion on my face.

I use to only get one zit per month, but lately I have been getting 2-3 per week. I was so depressed because of it and I thought I was ugly. I know now that I was stupid and shouldn't let skin problems run my life like that. This clinique face care gave me confidence because my face cleared up quickly. It has only been a week, but even so, my face has changed for the better. Now all I need is to find a great moisturizer.

Pros:

Cleared up my acne and my skin feels softer than before.

Cons:

None that I've noticed!

I used to use a combination of Clearasil and oil of Olay which worked okay but never completely cleared my skin. When I turned 30 I decided to try the Clinique acne solutions line. I wish I had started earlier! Almost all of my acne is gone, just an occasional blemish or 2 pop up monthly. My overall skin tone has also improved. After years of feeling terrible about my skin this has worked wonders. I definitely recommend it.

Pros:

-Excellent acne treatment system, using the main components of acne care with salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide
-Fantastic when used as a system
-Great tingle feeling after using this product
-If used properly, results seen quickly

Cons:

-Ineffective if not used properly or as directed

First thing you need to understand about acne is that everyone has different skin. Sometimes one like Neutrogena works. Sometimes people need to buy the expensive stuff to get results. I've had acne since I was in the fourth grade. I tried everything from proactive to dermatologist oral and topical medications. When I was about 12, my Aunt gave me clinique. At the time, it didn't work for my face. When I came back to it when I was 18 and in college, it cleared up my face a lot! If I would have just stopped using make up everyday, I would have a clean and clear face now. But that's my bad decision. I have acne all over my face, neck, chest, and shoulders. I went off of clinique for 2 years, because I had a baby (no salicylic acid while pregnant) and I have now returned. If you have bad acne, I would suggest getting the bar soap-not the foaming cleanser. If it dries you out, then use the foaming cleanser. I also suggest another product: clinique's blemish spot treatment. If you use this properly it will help target those particularly RUDE pimples. It gives you a nice tingle afterward! For the complete full system (not the starter kit, but the actual full-sized bottles and tubes) I paid $92 with tax at Macy's. But that was for that was for the 3-step kit, acne bar and blemish spot treatment. This tends to be a 4-6mo supply depending on how much you use. A little bit goes a LONG way with this stuff! So a monthly average is about $25-$30. NOTE: When you use clinique and you feel that tingle-that means the medicine is WORKING! Don't give up on this product! I have gone through many products when I was a teenager just because I was too impatient to let it really work on my skin. I suggest you use it for at least 2-3 months before really giving up on it. Clarifying lotion smells a bit strong

I love this product. Worth every penny, I bought the foaming cleanser and clarifying toner and use the dramatically different moisturizing lotion in stead of the acne solutions lotion. Ive been suffering from acne for years and finally found a solution!

Pros:

This is an awesome product! It is a little pricey to buy the items seperate, but it is well worth it. I have actually paid more for other products that didn't work as well. I would definitely recommend this product. A lot of stores are sold out of the clearing moisturizer because it works so well, but I just ordered mine from [link removed] and it was already shipped out this morning!

None that I've seen yet...

Brilliant well worth the expense- but drying in the long term
this is the only over the counter skincare system that has ever actually worked! It's totally different to everything else out there, & you can feel it working from the first use. It started too dramatically clear my severe and persistent acne within a week, and I was 90% clear within a month and a half. It's only downsides are that once my skin was cleared and I still kept using it as maintenance, it really dried out my skin and made it very red. So I'd recommend just using it once a week once you get to that point as a maintenance thing. There's also the cost point. It's about €78 for the whole system (and you need the whole system) so that's a bit inaccessible for many, but I assure you, it's the best money I ever spent, and wished I'd tried it years ago.

I JUST started using this and I can already see a huge improvement. I started breaking out horrible in December and its lasted until now. Ive tried everything, just recently I was using Murad and lots of homeade masks but it was just getting worse. But with the Clinique I can go almost the whole day without my face throbbing and itching, the redness ahs gone down so much its ridiculous! I actually woke up and smiled today :) This is only the first week so I pray the results only get better, good luck to all of you trying it I really hope it works for you!

This stuff worked for me! I was really, really skeptical of Clinique as an overhyped brand from my high school days, but at some point in the last few months, I was trying just about everything because my skin had gotten so severe. My dermatologist prescribed me everything from Finacea to Tazorac to Clindamycin and nothing was working. I have tried everything on the block other than oral meds, which I can't take for health reasons. Finally, I decided to try Clinique's regular skincare line for oily skin, I think the #2 line. I had a good experience with this line, but not amazing. It made my ragged-looking skin (from all the over the counter facial products I had been desperately trying on it) very soft, but it didn't clear my acne. Encouraged, however, i decided to try Clinique's Acne Solutions skincare line. I saw IMMEDIATE results. Let me just start out by saying that my skin was pretty bad. I had breakouts all over my cheeks, my forehead, temples and chin. Right, pretty much everywhere. And I always had a few "new" pimples on my face. At least two "active" ones at all times. My skin was really red as well. I also had tiny bumps on my cheeks that I think really made my skin look the worst. I could cover the pimples with Laura Mercier foundation (which is a great foundation if you need heavier coverage) but I could not hide the tiny bumps on my skin which if the light shined on my face a certain way, (usually from overhead) made me look terrible because they were pretty much all over. I did not experience a "purge" period. The first couple of days, my skin dried out, but I expected this, as almost every product does this when I first start using it. But I felt and saw my skin getting better every day. Even though it dried out though, I could tell that my skin was already feel softer and more smooth. Pros:

Fast Results, easy application, fragrance free

Cons:

a little drying, bleaches fabrics

I've only been using this for a week [am & pm] and I'm already seeing lots of results. After a day all pimples were flattened. I currently don't have any acne. I used to have serious blackhead problems on my nose, but now they're almost completely gone. I have sunburn right now, so I don't know if my redness is gone. The lotion lightly bleaches fabrics, so let it dry before putting your face on your pillow. I did have some drying, but it wasn't too bad. I just lightly applied another moisturizer in the afternoon. It can be a bit pricey, but after digging around online you can find a reasonable price. 30$ isn't too bad for 3 products that work.
