Pros:

i cant believe i stoped using this. i've used it for 3 days now and all my "live" acne suddenly died, lost color, and decresed dramiticly in size. Also it seems to be drasticly clearing old zits/scars when used with BP.

Cons:

if you have a sensitive face i wouldnt recomend it..
it may slightly dry out your face. other than that, none !

IT WORKS. i use this once a night before washing my face. after I put on a good amount of BP. I have an oily face and it really has stoped oil production. & i dont even wash my face in the morning !

Pros:

Cleans face like no other. All the bumps leave and safer than any exfoliater. Cheap, too! I actually wash my scalp with it, too and it cleared up my dry scalp. Leaves hair shiny.

Cons:

none

Use it....it's a God send. I prayed and asked the Lord to show me what to use to clear up dandruff and He led me to use baking soda. So I tried it on my face and it's fantastic.

Cons:

My skin is not very sensitive so usually it don't get much of a burn, however if you have sensitive skin avoid it. Also very drying so make sure you MOSTURIZE!

I have combination skin, so I break out mainly on my forehead and chin, sometimes upper lip and nose. I don't have acne per say but a few scaterred pimples at all times. I use baking soda at least 3 times a week 15 min masks. When I use it I do notice change, my acne dies down, and if nothing else redness is reduced. The main benifit is my pores become clean and shrink. Make sure you use moisturize after. If you have oily skin then get your hands on some oil free moisturizer.

Pros:

Cheap, available everywhere, highly effective, safe.

Cons:

You look silly with white splotches on your face at night... a fact which all members of your family will point out. ;)

I'm in my mid-40's, so I worry about overly drying products now that lines and wrinkles threaten. I also have sensitive skin that burns with a lot of cleansers and moisturizers. And, I still get stress zits that erupt from deep within (the kind I got as a teen). Before I go to bed, and after washing my face, I dab a paste of baking soda and water onto any spots that are causing me grief. When I wake up, those nasty stress zits are half the size they were before. NOTHING has ever worked as well for me. P.S., Here's my facial cleanser (I never use soap or acne products): mix equal portions of olive oil, honey and plain yogurt. Olive oil will NOT clog pores and is rich with antioxidants. Honey has natural antibacterial properties. Yogurt helps correct your face's pH balance. Rub the mix onto your face and rinse with warm water. Feels oily when you rinse... but after you towel dry your face, you'll see that it leaves your face very clean (excellent makeup remover) and moisturized.

Pros:

Makes my skin super soft and it's the cheapest stuff I've tried.

Cons:

It can sting on problem areas and it can flake off easily.

I've suffered with really bad acne for years. I had it everywhere. The later I got in my teens the worse it got and I tried everything. I had acne on my face, chest, back, and it even spread to my arms. It was humiliating and traumatizing. This is my system: I mix baking soda with a little warm water and I squirt in some lemon juice to make a paste. I leave the paste on my skin for about 30 minutes. I wash it off and I sometimes put on some Clearasil 10% Benzoyl Peroxide Tinted Cream which I leave on overnight. I make sure to drink lots of water and eat lots of carrots. Carrots are supposed to be really good for your skin. I've tried a number of different products and seem to grow immune quite quickly, but this is definitely different. Even though it can sting I've seen massive results in my skin. I haven't had skin like this since I was a kid. It's worth the mess to me and I look incredible. Not only has it tremendously helped my skin, my pores are smaller and tighter
