Cons:
Can dry skin just a little, but nothing that a good moisturizer can't solve.
A bit pricey compared to typical soaps/body washes and may be hard to find.
Scented varieties may slightly irritate sensitive skin
Dr. Bronner's is the best soap by far IMO. I use the Peppermint scent to wash my body. The tingly peppermint sensation really helps you start your day. Watch out though, the Peppermint can almost burn your sensitive southern parts if you leave it on there too much, nothing serious though. If you use Dr. Bronner's to wash your face I HIGHLY recommend buying the Baby/Sensitive skin variety. The Peppermint kind can slightly irritate sensitive facial skin (it would make my face red and eyes burn from the scent). It has no added fragrance so no irritation. Plus it makes your skin really smooth and clean. For my acne problems I just use the Unscented Dr. Bronners to wash my face morning and night and a topical Benzoyl Peroxide cream. Works like a charm. My skin has never been smoother or cleaner.

made things a lot worse for me.
I used this soap for a few weeks, the acne org regimen eventually stopped working for me and I was looking for something new. Since so many people raved about this, I gave it a try. It threw my skin completely out of whack. Completely dried out and painful and angry pimples. Tired of trying things and ending up with new scars, I decided to go to the dermatologist and she immediately pulled out the big guns (the 'tane) when I told her everything I have tried and how consistent I am with my regimens. Before I even started, she suggested using a gentle cleanser (cetaphil, etc) only. As soon as I switched, my skin completely calmed down. Please go to a dermatologist if you are having problems finding something that works for you. I very much regret spending years trying to find my own way out. Silly when there's people out there who have dedicated their lifes to learning about skin.

hg!
i love this stuff. i have tried a few and the tea tree one is by far my favorite. i started using the bar soap version and just recently picked up the bottle of tea tree soap and was so impressed. the bottle version is 100x stronger and works amazing! if you try it and its too strong for you or have really sensitive skin, try the bar, its amazing too.

Really wanted to love this
I really, really wanted to love this since it has received such rave reviews. Unfortunately, it caused irritation on my upper back and face, and I ended up breaking out in little bumps and pimples in these areas. It also left my skin really dry. I tried the mint/original version as well as the lavender but both did not yield any good results anywhere on my body for me. :(

AMAZING!!!
I started using this when I was pregnant to try to stay away from chemicals. I break out SUPER easy so I was skeptical. My skin did not break out from it and I'm still using it post baby. My skin has never looked so good. It can be a little drying if left on too long or if you have dry skin to begin with. Also it really burns your eyes so KEEP AWAY FROM YOU EYES. My holy grail product. I use it in my hair and body too. Amazing stuff!

Pros:
Natural, organic, fair trade and all that
Foams really well
Gets all my makeup off
Fewer acne and allergy flare ups
Fragrance free (in the Baby Mild version)
Cheap
Cons:
None yet
My skin is very oily and sensitive (especially to fragrances) so finding a gentile, affordable cleanser that actually gets my skin clean has been a battle. Even Purpose and baby washes broke me out and they didn't really get my makeup off. But the Baby Mild version of this is awesome! It even removes Revlon's Colorstay foundation. And it costs about the same as most acne cleansers but you get more in the bottle.

Pros:
The 16 oz. bottle lasted me for an entire year, very affordable and cleared my skin
Cons:
mildly drying
This soap was recommended to me by a friend who had adult acne which was cured using this soap. I highly recommend the Peppermint variety since the mint has anti-fungal properties which reduced inflammation. If you're skeptical, try buying the travel sized versions which will only cost a few bucks, but I guarantee you will come back and get a larger size later.

Pros:
Incredibly versatile, natural, healthy for skin, smells and feels nice, is a company I feel good supporting, cleans effectively.
Cons:
Can be drying.
I am a huge fan of these soaps. I have Peppermint, and use it for everything. We're pals. I feel like they clean much more deeply than the more heavily marketed washes. I really appreciate that they don't have BP and other nasty chemicals, because while I'm not a complete cynic, they've just never worked for me and I don't see the need to risk aging and other skin issues for no benefit. The company itself is great, I love that they're not advertised and the people are still passionate about the (free trade!) product. It definitely does help keep me clearer than the biore and proactiv cleansers I sometimes use when I don't appreciate Dr. B's enough, and I attribute that to the really deep clean I feel like I get. I wouldn't expect it to be a magic bullet cure, but I don't think a cleaner should be that. It is what it is, a great, effective cleanser, so I wouldn't get it confused with masks and treatments.

worked for months but gradually became less effective
I have had mild to moderate acne since I was 12 and I am now 17. My cheeks are clear but my chin is covered in angry whiteheads, scarring and the odd cyst, in what creates a muzzle-like effect. At first, I thought Dr Bronners was my saving grace. It dried out my very oily skin and kept breakouts largely under control. Although my skin was never perfect it was definitely more manageable - I would say this product cleared it by 70%. However, it did nothing for blackheads. Eventually though I began to get more and more breakouts on my chin - I felt my skin returning to its old state. Meanwhile I developed heaps of those nasty under the skin spots all over my forehead! Whether Dr Bronners caused these or not I do not know (it does contain olive oil and coconut oil) but I still have them now. Overall, I wouldn't write this product off because it is the most effective product I have used so far in my battle against acne, even if it didn't last.

Pros:
Too many to list exhaustively.
Cons:
None
I wish I had discovered this earlier in my life. It would have saved me the 20 years' fight against the acne, the thousands spent on expensive cosmetics and treatment, the four years on hormonal tablets and the thread veins which I got as a consequence... How could I know that this soap will clear my face for just 3 days? For me this really is magic, even though I know how logical it is... This is what my skin has craved for so long - to breathe and to be free :)
Pros:
Cleans better than anything else IMO
Smells great/clean and smooths skin
Helps prevent acne
