Pros:

- So, so, so gentle
- Didn't dry my skin up at all

Cons:

It mildly helps with pimples, which sometimes isn't always the best thing.

This is a basic cleanser that's suited for acne-prone skin. This will more than likely work for you if you have light acne with normal/combo/oily skin. Note: I have sensitive skin, and although I got a very MILD rash the first night I used this, it was only a few little red bumps near my nose. Those cleared up in a day or two and never returned.

Pros:

~The feeling of the foam on your face is great
~Clears up some acne, but not all
~Face feels fresh
~Reduces redness
~Works fast

Cons:

~Makes face really dry and flaky
~Doesn't completely clear up acne
~Only worked for about 2 weeks

This product was great, only for about 2 weeks. Then my face got used to it so it didn't work as well as it did when i first started using it. I saw immediate results after about 2 days and it cleared up most of the acne as well as reduced the redness on my skin. After washing, my face felt nice and clean, and the idea of a foam wash is excellent. Only after about 2 weeks when my skin got used to it, it started to dry my face around my chin, jawline, and mouth. Make sure you get the moisturizer along with this product if you want to give it a try, not everything works for everybody.

Pros:

-great daily cleanser
-oil free, doesn't clog pores
-does'nt dry out your skin (for me, at least)
-smells great and very natural (no chemical scent to it)
-evens out skin tone
-makes face feel EXTREMELY smooth and fresh after the wash
-doesn't burn your face
-very gentle (great for sensitive skin)

Cons:

-may get a few white heads and other small break outs when you first use it, but don't let this scare you, keep using it. unless it gets really bad of course. the many pros of this product outweighs the cons!

i actually use the cream version of this, not the foam cleanser ('cause i don't really like foam ones) and i have to say that it's one of the very very few daily cleansers that i actually really like and am very dedicated to using (i used to use spectrojel, but am now using aveeno due to the great results i've gotten). a lot of the reviews here say that it dries out your skin, but i haven't had that problem at all. my skin feels perfectly fine from it (maybe because i have oily skin?) anyways, my skin used to be horrible, i would almost break out daily, and now i rarely do. i can't say it's because aveeno has stopped this from happening, but using a great cleanser like this has definitely helped! so i totally recommend this product to anyone!

Pros:

love the foam, smell and the way it cleanses

Cons:

none yet

i was going to try proactive, then decided on murad. But before i comitted i did a bit of research. It was recomeneded that if you seem to do better on sal. acid products go for murad and if you do better on ben. perox. go for proactive. Not being sure which ive used before i decided to try this (Salicylic acid). So far so good. i did break out a bit the first few days but hey, its to be expeceted. I understand that the breakouts i have today have been created 6-8 weeks ago so, im keeping track of what im using.. Vitamin E oil topical, Aveeno wash, Aveeno Moisturizer and daily muilti vite. No crazy break outs yet so i would recommend it.

best results ive ever gotten out of a cleanser

Pros:

gentle ingredients
helps with skin tone
affordable

Cons:

not strong enough for severe acne
hard to use pump after a while
has fragrance in it

I have moderate to severe acne so there arent many products ive come across that are gentle enough to use on my sensitive skin but strong enough to clear my skin. right now i am on an antibiotic that helps greatly but doesnt do the job completely without a topical treatment. when i first sought professional help for my acne bout 2 years ago i started using a product sample of aqua glycolic cleanser along with epiduo cream which worked wonderfully on my skin by clearing it completely to the point where it had become poreless and glowing but i eventually could not afford the price of the epiduo because of an issue with insurance and was unable to find the aqua glycolic cleanser. i was then left with the option of going back to an over the counter cleanser. ive tried most drug store cleansers which all claim to help acne but ironically have ingredients in them that are bad for acne prone skin. however when i came across Aveeno foaming clear complexion cleanser it specifically stated it wouldn't clog pores, was soap free, oil free, and hypoallergenic. They were all things that are recommended for you to look for on any product you buy for acne prone skin. I gave it a try and it has become my favorite cleanser to this day. In fact even the facial scrub is good too. although i wouldn't recommend using that particular one every day. 0.5 % salicylic acid isn't enough to clear skin completely but makes the product gentle enough to use regularly. please try if you are having trouble finding a product that addresses all your needs in a cleanser for your skin because this is totally worth the try.

Pros:

Reduces skin oiliness but doesn't overdry
Gradually dries out moderate acne
Leaves skin soft
Smells really nice
Really easy to use, feels light

Cons:

Can't think of any!

I use this product all the time. I find that foaming products help my skin a lot more in terms of fighting acne than anything else I've tried. I've settled on this one because it feels the lightest and smells the nicest and is really effective for me. I read here that lots of people said it didn't work for their acne, but I guess everyone's skin is different, as is everyone's degree of acne severity. I don't have severe acne at all, just some pimples that tend to break out some on my forehead, and even though it's not terrible, it's annoying. But this stuff really helps it a lot; it gets rid of it for me. Of course, it isn't immediate, but I use it every morning when I wake up and at night when I shower, and it's worked wonders for me! My skin tends to be a little oily and this stuff works great for drying it the amount that it needs to be dried, and it's also an excellent face cleanser; daily dirt particles and all that is washed away so easily. I'm obsessed with this product; it's worked really well for me all around. If anyone has the problems I described, I'd definitely recommend it!

Pros:

Light, Easy to use (rinsing off wise), and the pump is useful. It also keeps mild acne under control and evens out skin tone.

Cons:

Can dry out skin if not used with a moisturizer.

I would definitely recommend this for people with Mild Acne who also want to even out their skin tone. If you want a light cleanser this works well too.

Pros:

Foam is nice. Leaves my skin smelling and feeling nice. Also, clears out most acne and helps with overall skin pigment.

Cons:

At first, skin becomes slightly red and acne seems worse. Afterwards, clears up and is then better than before.

I really like this product. Good for getting rid of MILD acne and keeping skin tone consistent and leaving your skin feeling smoother and nice smelling. REMEMBER! I have fair skin with little to no oily patches on my face. Acne products work differently for everyone!
