Gave skin a healthy glow
Easy to take
Healthy for more than just skin
Improved mood
Cheap!

Cons:

None!

I bought these hoping they would clear my mild acne i've had acne for awhile now because i have very dry and sensitive skin with flakes all over it. I took these for 5 days today being the 5th, when i woke up after taking the third pill my skin looked amazing, no flakes, no redness, no dryness, it looked great!!! if you have tried everything else and nothing else seems to be working then buy these and give em a try i take 1000mg a day one pill a day so you don't have to overdose on them to see a difference. And they are cheap i bought a twin pack, 2 bottles for 6$ each containing 100 pills

Pros:

Clear skin/complexion
Noticeable reduction is blackhead or Sebaceous filaments

Cons:

Left two small cyst

I considered this supplement a double edge sword. I've read other reviews regarding their problems with cyst after consuming fish oil so therefore I was kind of expecting it. Two small cyst that hurts minimally when touched, but it wasn't too bad at all. Now on the other side the blackheads or Sebaceous filaments (not sure which) is reduced significantly. And my face complexion has really beginning to glow. All I did was taking one pill a day for 2 days. I'm very sensitive to stuff like medicine and supplement, I don't know if that got to do with anything. I probably try 1 pill a week. LOL. I would def. give this a try and take it slow and see what happens. Ex. don't take 5-10 pills at first. I also use Mama M2 20% lotion.

Pros:

good for your heart

Cons:

significant increase in oil production, thus resulting in more acne

Alright, I have been taking fish oil supplements for about two and a half months. I read so many great reviews and was so excited to try them out. About a week in, I began experiencing huge cystic pimples on my chin. By the way, I don't think I have ever had a "cystic" pimple in my life. I just can't understand what I am doing wrong. I have been using oil blotting sheets like crazy. It looks so gross. I used to only have an oily t-zone...now I have oil all over my nose, entire forehead, chin, and cheeks. It's absolutely unreal. I'm a biology major, so I'm just completely astounded that fish oil could give you anything but positive benefits! I'm going to quit them and see what happens. I know that there is documented evidence that fish oil is very effective, I just can't understand why it doesn't wok for some people.

Pros:

It works.... hair is shinier, skin is softer

Cons:

it took me almost 2 months to see result. Have to be really patient as acne does NOT develop in 1 day or 1 week.

Fish oil has been working really great for me. One important thing is that you have to take fish oil that is free from mercury, lead, and other contaminants. I really recommend Carlson's super omega 3. You can find it at whole food or online. It's a little bit more expensive than other brand, but it's totally worth it. I take 5-10 pills a day depending on what I ate that day. Also take Magnesium at nights or during the day. I realize that stress plays a really BIG role in acne. you can't expect your acne to go away if you are not happy, relax, and constantly in pressure even if you take 100 pills of fish oil a day. Magnesium can help you calm your body and mind. Whenever you feel stressed, remind to yourself that it will only make your acne worse, be happy instead, watch funny movies. Most cases of acne are because of stress Because of this routines, my acne went down from severe to moderate, and I'm very sure that I will be clear in at most 2 more months. Good luc

Pros:

It has definitely helped my dry skin... my face was pretty bad all my life and now I actually have a reason to wash it. I don't mind washing off healthy skin oil versus scrubbing off dry skin.

Good stuff for skin and body imo. It was reccomended to me for my weight gaining (healthy weight gain) diet and I've noticed a dramatic change in my dry skin and hair.

MY history w/fish oil tablets

Pros:

Works IF you take them for a long time
Clear, glowing skin
Good mood

Cons:

If you lower your dose or stop acne WILL return

In 2010 I had a massive breakout on my forehead and cheeks. So, off to the doctors I went who gave me Zineryt solution and Tetracycline (I think). The solution worked but the tablets I don't think had an effect. I finished my course with the tabs and instead I came off them not wanting to depend on acne tablets all my life and started taking fish oil tablets (after stalking this site and mostly positive reviews about it). At first I took 500mg and then slowly went higher to ~1000mg and took them religiously in the morning. It took around 4 months but after that I had the clearest skin I have ever had. So they definitely helped me clear my skin and stay clear for around 1.5-2years. I took them on and off I think. Can't remember exactly. HOWEVER, in 2012 I lowered my fish oil tab dose and decided to take a skin hair and nail tablets which was the worst decision I have ever made as after 4-5 months I had a MASSIVE breakout and experienced the most terrible and painful acne EVER. It cleared up after 3-4months and I had okay but spot prone skin. Now, 2013 I am still on my fish oil tabs but I am experiencing a horrible breakout, lower jaw, cheekbones and forehead areas. It sucks but I am now sticking to my fish oil tabs I now take 789mg every morning. Hopefully after 3-5 months I hope to see a change and reduction in my never ending cycle of acne. Sorry about the huge timeline. Just want to help someone if I can. BOTTOM LINE: If you find something works for you then "if it ain't broke don't fix it".

Pros:

-Didn't make acne worse

Cons:

-Did nothing for redness
-Didn't really help acne at all

I've been taking fish oils on daily basis for nearly 3 years and I can tell you they won't be the miracle cure for your acne, I went on them for my eczema as well as hearing about the benefits for acne and honestly they didn't help either so really don't bother taking for them for help with acne, I just take them for health reasons now

Pros:

There are no side effects!
Takes a second to swallow
Works very well!

I had moderate acne all over my face and the fish oil has seriously made my acne become less red. It had cut down on a ton of the inflammation. I've also been drinking a lot of water, but these fish oil pills have been working wonders. I take 4 a day (2 morning, 2 night) and I don't think I'll ever stop taking them. They're great

Pros:

Healthy, good for cardiovascular health, helps me to memorize better (for me, that is), and clears up acne

Cons:

none..

I had never had more than two pimples/zits until I started drinking protein shakes (after that, I started getting zits). In order to "exterminate" them from my face, I decided to take fish oil along with vitamin pills. Since then, my face has been clean, even though I get a very tiny red dot once a week or so (but they disappear within two or three days). Moreover, I realized that fish oil somehow helped me to memorize materials quickly; I found that amazing, because I am a student at MIT and I need that extra boost to help me study for midterms/finals. However, I get two or three tiny (minuscule sized zits) a week during the MIT's infamous finals week. ERGGHH! lol
