Pros:

It was soft and worked well with my soft skin. Unlike other products like clinique and murad this worked.

This product rocks.Don't listen to the other idiots who say this product stinks. They just want you to buy more products. The proactiv gentle solution worked from day one. Now I only have one pimple left. I used to have pimples and dark hyperpigmentation all over my face on omy nose, around my forhead, on both cheeks, and all over my chin. Just trust me and try this product I am not one of those other idiots who want you to buy more products. The people who want you to buy more products and spend thousands or hundreds of dollars on many different products are mean cruel and should not be allowed to write a reveiw. Because they are not honest. Along with using this product do remember to eat write and have alot of vegetables and fruits. Drink at least eight glasses of water and mantain a healthy life style dont let others tell you to do other wise. Try to use some turmeric powder as well this is also called haldhi. Pros:

Exfoliates the face.

Cons:

Leaves red marks, scars, and peels the skin too much. My skin became super dried out!! Make-up ended up looking cakey on me due to my skin being so dry.

Very irratable on the skin because I have sensitive skin. If your skin is oily, I wouldn't worry too much. The gentle formula is still too harsh on my skin and still made it worse so I don't recommend it for sensitive skin like mine. I switched from the BP solution, which I used for over a year.

Pros:

Works for the first week or 2 then gives up.

Cons:

Does not work.

Hi guys im the same person that left a comment below. The person from NY. Okay it now has been about a month of using proactive gentle formula and my face is not getting better. It did for the first few weeks but now my skin is just looking horrible again... Ive never missed a day without using proactive and its just not working for me anymore...I really had high hopes at first but now i see its just another product in the trash can for me...

Pros:

its really easy for sensitive skin like mine

Cons:

it stopped working after i started volleyball.

it didnt dry out my face like the regular product did. it worked for a while like many other products. unlike other products that i have tried, it made some of my acne PEEL OFF! i dont know what that means for my skin. but like other products that i have tried it stopped working after i started sweating!

Switching to Gentle Formula
I have used the regular Proactive products for many years(over 10 yrs), and have always loved them. I started purchasing/using in my early 20's, and I am now thirty-seven. I will admit, I use other products in between(NOT other acne products, just other skincare, as my skin allows), as I tend to use the Proactive when I'm having a breakout issue, usually during times of hormonal fluctuation. If I;m not having a breakout, I still use it once or twice per week, as honestly, Ijust LOVE the way it makes my skin feel. For those who may not know, Proactive is known to work better on acne caused by hormones, not on cystic acne, although some do find that it helps with that as well. I guess I use Proactive more as a 'medication', because I really feel that that is what it is. I know that most ppl who use it, use it all the time, but I just do what works for me. I have always used the 'original' formula, as my skin has always been combo/oily, however, at my age, my skin is changing some...still have the breakouts, but much less oil. The last three yrs or so have been rough on my hormones as well as my skin. This may be t.m.i for some of y'all, but I am scheduled for a complete hysterectomy in a few days, and I expect to have breakouts as well as other changes in my skin. I have ordered the Proactive Gentle System to prepare for these changes, as well as to start moving away from the stronger medications, i.e. benzoyl peroxide. I fully expect it to be wonderful, but I will post back regarding the new system.

Pros:

does not leave skin sore and red like the regular Proactiv

I'm wondering if most of the people before me thought that they're reviewing the regular Proactiv ?? This Gentle Formula (use Salicylic Acid instead of Benzoyl Peroxide) does not burn or dry out your skin like the regular Proactiv does. I use to use the regular Proactiv on and off for years and could only use it a couple of times a week because it's so strong and my acne not that bad. I have a lot of scarring and Proactiv does clear that up nicely and gave me very clear skin. Now after 2 children and in my 30s, the regular Proactiv was not working for me anymore. I discovered their Gentle Formula at the Proactiv kiosk as the mall and decided to give it a try. Really like it!! Definitely give it a try if you've had the same issues as me with the burning and redness. I could use this Gentle Formula twice a day no problem but I still only use it once a day and that's enough for me.

Pros:

Clears Acne, Makes my skin glow, and it is extra gentle. AND doesnt overdry my skin at all.

Cons:

Maybe if it were cheaper, But definetly still worth every penny.

proactiv gentle formula kit is the best acne kit i have ever used. I have tried Clean and Clear, Neutrogena, 2 visits to the dermatolagist, Daniel Kerns Kit, and nothign helped my severe acne vulgaris. So i tried this, ( i have no idea what made me buy it), but wow.. The resluts came quick. I have 1 little zit by my chin now.. compared to severe acne. My skin is glowing, moisturizerd, hydrated, and clean with this. THE BEST!

Pros:

made my skin a little bit brigher, light weight and does not make my skin oily

Cons:

burning sensation, smells weird, very small yet expensive, made my skin so dry to the point I got tiny wrinkles

I started using Pro active couple of month ago, I have not seen change at all

Pros:

I sell Proactiv and have been using it for several years now. The regular system dried my skin out, so I decided to try to gentle formula. It really works! It keeps my skin hydrated, evened out discolorations (hyperpigmentation) and keeps myskinclear

Cons:

don't like the night cream because it's too much moisture for my oily skin... so I use the day cream at night. Also, the mask isn't included in this kit, but it's a miracle worker when used as a spot treatment.

Pros:

smelled alright
worked for awhile
felt good on my skin

Cons:

made me breakout really badly after awhile
dried my cheeks out

This product worked for about 2 weeks and then i had one of the worst breakouts of my life. Even though it didn't work for me, I guess it's worth a shot because I know other people that have used this product and have great skin.
