16 year old's review. LOVE THIS!!!!
My skin has been in its worst condition for the last 6 months. My skin was very bumpy and red. It looked awful. It honestly looked like I had a rash on my face, but it was acne. I usually don't wear face makeup, but when my skin was in this condition I relied on BB cream. Still, my skin looked like crap. I had used Clearasil products for a really long time, and I think my skin has some type of reaction. My skin is now extremely sensitive so I began using this product. After the first three days, I noticed my skin was softening. It no longer felt so rough. After 6 weeks, my skin looks almost 100% better and my forehead is virtually clear. I use this product morning and night, but at night I apply the Clearasil benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid gels on my face. These two products mixed together really help my skin, and I have no reaction. Also, every 1 or 2 weeks I exfoliate with a natural exfoliator from Sally Hansen. The cleanser is a little drying, so I apply Pond's dry skin moisturizer in the morning and it keeps my skin soft and protected from the sun. I recommend this cleanser to anyone who is struggling with acne, and feels like this is their last hope. It certainly has helped me a lot. Definitely try this product!!!!

Pros:

-Clears Acne
-Smooths Skin
-Does NOT Over-dry
-Can leave on over night or during the day
-Prevents Breakouts
-Fast Acting

Cons:

-Nothing so far (I'll have to wait and see)

I've tried many things, some have worked for just a week or two then seemed to do nothing. There is something about this product I like and will continue to use it.

Pros:

mosturizes & light

Cons:

didn't help my acne

I've always heard how great this product is. My best friend uses it and loves it so I thought I would give it a try and try something different. I've been using it for the past few weeks and its this is the worst my skin has ever been. This product isn't for everyone.

Pros:

Left my skin soft and clean
Skin is clear and moisturized
Also left my skin tone very even

Cons:

Expensive.
If you don't use it with the moisterizer your skin will be dry, burn, and itch.

I love this product, my skin is now so clear. I usually have a very red blotchy complexion, it is now very even, just after a month or so. I am so amazed.

Pros:

very gentle on skin
moisturizing
inexpensive
doesn't break me out.

Cons:

does not remove makeup
doesn't foam up, so it really won't remove much dirt

i really like this product as my morning gentle cleanser, but i don't use it at night becuase it is horrible at removing makeup and dirt buildup from the day. i have naturally dry skin, so i need to keep my cleansers gentle and smooth. it leaves my skin soft, and its very refreshing. the consistency is water-like. not thick.

Pros:

+ Cleanses skin gently
+ Scent isn't overbearingly horrid
+ Doesn't dry out skin and can use with water or without. Also great for sensitive skin

Cons:

+ Doesn't clean makeup off well

This isn't a cleanser to aid in the prevention of acne, it simply is a GENTLE CLEANSER. Though Cetaphil does what it claims to do, it isn't the best for cleaning makeup off with and you would need to wash your face and use it at least a few times before makeup is almost entirely removed. Overall I have to say that Cetaphil by far is one of the best cleansers I have used and comes at a very decent price (Tried cleansers ranging in prices from around $50 to $7 and Cetaphil is definitely one of the best). Love how it doesn't clog my pores as that is the major problem with my skin.

It's a meh
My friend recommended me this so I tried it out. After the first wash, it felt ok so I tried it out more. After often washing, I noticed that it doesn't really help with acne. So if you're just looking for a cleanser that cleanses well here it is.

The best. :)
The best gentle cleanser in the market for sensitive acne prone skin. My only problem with it was the price. Quite expensive tho, because im only a student. Anyway dare to Try it! :) it really calms down and gently clean the face without drying or stripping the natural oils. I pair this with ponds cold cream cleanser. :)

Good but not great for me
I have been experiencing moderate adult acne for the past 3 months that is driving my crazy i am 29 lighter skin African American with combination skin I have always had clear skin and I'm not exactly sure why I have been breaking out so bad My best guess is hormones & stress I have big painful pumps under the skin & small pumps on the surface along with dark acne scars it's just so upsetting I have been using cetaphil for a month now & I can say it leaves my skin very smooth it hasn't stopped my breakouts but it has slightly kept them under control I wash my face once some times twice a day I just recently start letting it sit on my face for about 30min or a little less instead of washing it right off this seem to help calm my breakouts a little faster I rinse with hot water as hot as I can stand it followed by cold & pat dry with paper towel I do not use wash rags on my face overall cetaphil is an ok product but I think I'm going to try something else cause as I said before it hasn't stopped my breakouts & im looking for a product to stop them & also clear up my dark scars

Allowing a face wash to dry on your skin is going to block your pores. Not using a washcloth (more preferably a Clarisonic or something like that) to wash it off means there's probably soap residue left on your skin that you don't feel with your fingertips. That can lead to further breakouts. Hot water damages the healthy skin, compromising your skins ability to heal itself. Cetaphil is a gentle cleanser, but it doesn't contain anything that will help with active breakouts. Invest in a good Benzoyl Peroxide gel (not the grocery store kind... Vivant Skin Care makes a good one that cleared up my cystic breakouts). A Retin-A will clear up your dark spots, or a chemical peel from a specialist.

hi tierra! i have been having these same exact kind of breakouts myself lately. they are mostly all located all along my jawline. i have really oily skin and have definitely had breakouts here and there but nothing like i have been dealing with lately. the reason why im commenting back to you is because i ended up going to see an esthetician and getting a facial at a local spa in my area. this was my i was surprised when she told me she bel

sorry, my comment posted and i wasnt finished. lol like i was saying...i seen an esthetician as my final effort before seeing a dermatologist. i was really surprised to hear that she thinks my acne is due to the fact that i have the mirena iud. i dont know if this is the same for you but i figured i would let you know in case. apparently the jawline is a hormonal belt for women and due to the hormones the mirena has it can cause acne in some women. if youve found or tried any other cleansers that have helped your skin please let me know! i am on the hunt! lol

Love
Years ago my dermatologist recommended this product but I was extremely skeptical and didn't use it. I found the sample bottle in the back of my pantry and decided to try it out. I absolutely love it. It's gentle but my skin still feels clean. It doesn't dry me out either. Instead of having a steady amount of pimples on my face I've gone to only hormonal breakouts on my chin each month. For everyone who is skeptical like I was I would definitely give it a try. It's a great product for a great price.
