Pros:

-Visibly clears blemishes and redness
-No breakouts
-Removes scars
-Leaves behind clear and smooth skin
-Great detox for a cleaner system

Cons:

Nothing

After using dozens of products and even seeing multiple dermatologists and receiving treatments, green tea was the simplest and best solution. My skin is nearly back to the way it used to be, smooth and clear of any blemishes. Though I do not mind the bitterness of pure green tea, I normally drink one that is flavoured. I got a box of 100 tea bags for about $4. I drink anywhere between 2 to 3 cups throughout the day and in the evening, occassionally use the tea bag as an astringent before bed. During the first 2 weeks, I drank it 3 times everyday and used it as an astringent. My skin became visibly clearer within the first week. Though it may seem like such a simple solution, definitely give it a try. And even if it doesn't work as well for your skin, use it for its many other purposes like detox and weight management.

Pros:

No new pimples since I started drinking it. It's been helping with facial redness and hyperpigmentation. Definitely a confidence booster because I am starting to see my skin clear up tremendously.

I used to get cystic acne from eating too much junk. I stopped eating all that rubbish and only got smaller/less painful pimples. Two weeks later, I started on green tea and for the last two months; my face has been clear of any breakouts, even during that dreaded PMS.

I'd also like to mention that my acne is hereditary, I used to eat junk (I know, silly me) before I turned 17 (that's when my breakouts started). Never ever got any pimples. Even without applying the green tea as an astringent, I've seen tremendous improvement. I should mention that I've tried a ton of OTC products; practically burning my skin off with BP, I tried ACV, supplements, acne creams and a ton of topical stuff. Nothing works like cleansing out your system. Don't take caffeinated green tea. Natural green tea is best - sweeteners and preservatives just like to MESS WITH YOU.

Amazing results works wonders for me
I started drinking green tea about a week ago and I have already started to see major improvments. I drink 3-6 cups (sometimes 7-8 cups) everyday and lately I've started to use this as a toner on my face. I think if you only drink it, it will help you prevent to get more zits but if you use it as a toner it helps your skin to clear up. This treatment is fantastic and here's why: First of all it is cheap and it really works not like those products that your dermatologist recommends. It's natural, I personally think that natural treatments are the best if you want to get rid of your acne (except from Accutane maybe) It prevents breakouts dramatically ever since I started drinking green tea I have got maybe 1-2 small zits no kidding and it also helps reduce whiteheads You see results pretty fast So don't hesitate to use this treatment, if you have any questions feel free to ask them :)

I really wanna try it but I have horrible acne and everything I've tried didn't work.

Pros:

- completely cleared my skin!!!
- cheap and natural
- works quickly

Cons:

None what so ever.

I suffered from acne for over 20 years. I have tried everything i.e: Accutane, BP, Retin A, antibiotics, spent hundreds on skin care products, birth control pills, ACV, accupuncture etc. But I have finally found something effective for glowing acne free skin! I have been drinking 1-3 cups of decaff green tea daily, for about 2 weeks. But I suspect the thing that has really helped is a toner I made myself, using green tea with a few other added natural ingredients. I apply to my skin with a cotton pad every morning and night after cleansing. I make the toner with: green tea (leave a green tea bag in hot water for a few minutes then add the tea) fresh lemon juice, aloe vera gel (the clear not green one), witch hazel, honey (the best kind is Manuka + UMF 10 honey) and a few drops of tea tree oil. Shake up in a bottle and try leave on during the day or overnight alone. It does make your skin slightly dry and tight, so you can put a few drops of Jojoba oil or moisturiser on afterwards. It makes me very happy to wake up and not find a spot on my face for the first time since I can remember. Something else that has helped is an aspirin mask a couple of times per week: Try honey, aloe vera and 2-3 tabs of aspirin crushed then leave on for 15 mins (plus try tea tree or rosehip oil added) I think eating well and using products that are not full of chemicals keeps your skin clear too, but this has definitely worked amazingly well for me!

Cons:

*For some people, the taste

I have been drinking green tea for about a month, and have seen great results... I drink this 2-5 times each day (I don't mind the taste at all) and It not only makes my skin clear and soft, but it keeps me calm and relaxed... perfect to drink right before going to bed.

This Rocks for Hormonal Acne!!!!
Ever since I have stopped taking birth control 10 years ago my hormonal acne was out of control. Within that time frame I have seen multiple dermatologists and I was prescribed various antibiotics, facial washes, and topical creams which really did not work for me. Recently I came to this website to look for natural remedies in order to deal with my hormonal acne and I noticed that green tea received a lot of favorable reviews. I decided to give organic matcha green tea powder and Tazo's green tea (with spearmint, due to its anti-androgen effects!) a try. I've been drinking 2 to 3 cups a day for two weeks and I've noticed a reduction of acne on my lower face and back. If anyone is looking for a natural remedy for their hormonal acne I would definitely suggest giving this a try!

Only thing that's ever worked for me
I've had horrible hormonal cystic breakouts all over my chin and jawline for the past 6 years (I'm 24) and Ive been on the pill even longer, and nothing I've ever tried (including cutting our dairy) has worked to clear it. I started drinking warm/hot green tea every single day - anywhere from 3-6 cups - and I haven't had any cystic breakouts since. I can eat whatever I want - although I don't eat meat - and never have to worry about my skin. As for brands, the one I use is uncle lee (it's organic and very cheap), I love the taste and I don't add any sweetener. Also, I use aveeno clear complexion foaming cleanser and aveeno clear complexion daily moisturizer.

Pros:

Reduces redness amazingly, dries up pimples, great astringent, love drinking green tea

Cons:

Doesn't taste that great without a little sugar, Bitter

I love using green tea on my acne!!! I used to have really bad acne. I'd get cystic pimples and lots of whiteheads over night. But now, I drink at least 1-2 mugs of green tea a day, and I get a cotton ball and use green tea as an astringent before bed. I've been following this routine for about a week and 1/2 now, and my skin looks great!!! All the redness is gone! I have to say my skin is a little dry, but that's alright. My acne is gone! There's no more cystic pimples, which I hate! My skin is back to it's beautiful, pale, self. Also, drinking all that green tea puts me in such a great and relaxed mood. =3

Pros:

affordable, healthy for skin AND body

Cons:

Takes some time getting use to its taste (I'm use to it now)

I've only been drinking it for about a 10 days now (I drink one cup every morning before school,) and I can already tell my face is a lot cleaner and clearer. I also haven't notice any new forms of acne. I will continue to use green tea as long as I can.

Pros:

Taste (for some people), helps reduce redness/scaring and acne. Works fast, doesn't take much time out of the day. Easy to incorporate into daily routine. Gives me energy throughout the day.

Cons:

None.

I've had annoying acne for about 6 years. I wouldn't mind just having no acne and scars, but I would get new breakouts everyday. And not just one or two. Many at a time. I've tried the works; Proactiv, Clearasil, Neutrogena, etc. They stopped my many breakouts and reduced it to only 1 or 2 a day. Green Tea has stopped my breakouts, so I had little to no new pimples. I've had about 3 new pimples since drinking and applying green tea topically. 3 in a few weeks is very nice. The green tea is even fading my acne scars. Overall I give this treatment a 10/10, because it's fast, cheap, and easy. I highly recommend this.
