Pros:

none that i have found..yet?

Cons:

made face red

I decided to try this natural method in hopes that I would achieve the same positive results as others have, unfortunately I fall under the category of unsuccessful. Last night was the first night..and possibly the last...that I applied lemon juice to my acne scars. This morning I woke up to find my face redder and more oily than ever. I am still weighing out the possibility of trying it again, except altering my method.

Pros:

Good for cleansing the skins after exfoliating.

Cons:

If your going to put it on your face, keep it off your teeth, or at least put it on, and rinse and brush teeth after it dries.

After working out,.I take a really hot shower to open up the pores, then I scrub the heck out of my skin with a rough rag, I'll then squeeze 4, yes 4 whole lemons, its alot....and get back in the shower and pour it all over my head, as it slowly drips down I rub it around my body, everywhere, hurts like crazy after scrubbing your skin as hard as I do, but I have tough skin. Let dry, go to bed and wash it off in the morning. I wouldnt really recommend this to everyone, I am just saying that I use lemon juice and it works.

An inexpensive alternative to other products with AHA properties. Rejuvenates the skin by removing dead skin cells and promotes new skin growth. Ideally, it's best to use fresh lemon over the bottled lemon juice because the bottled form is made from concentration which is not as fresh, duh! After cleansing, smear a small slice of lemon on the face (avoid eye area). You will feel a slight burning sensation but don't be alarmed. Those with sensitive skin can squeeze the slice and dilute with water for a less acidic effect. Rinse off after 15-20 minutes and moisturize. Don't do this for more than twice a week or your skin will be hypersensitive to the sun. I let it dry and put on moisturizer on top of it, and leave it as is overnight. Then, washing my face as usual the next morning. But, I only do this once every week. Leaving it on overnight very often can irritate the skin. Or squeeze a slice and use a Q-tip to apply it on the acne scar undiluted. Do this twice a day and you will see an improvement on the acne scar. I'm not sure if it would work for acne scars that have been present for longer than 2 months, but you can try.
