Pros:

After rinsing, skin looks slightly lighter, feels tight, and there is a little reduction in pore size.

Cons:

Didn't do anything for my blackheads.
Very messy, yogurt drips everywhere!

I've been using the yogurt mask for two weeks now and my skin has become better and less susceptible to breakouts. I mixed creamy yogurt with honey, lemon, and oatmeal. It feels calming, especially because the yogurt is cold. However, the dripping problem is insane! The pyjamas I was wearing had polka dots of yogurt. But the results were really awesome, except that my blackheads are still present. I recommend doing this once a week, as a weekend facial. I will probably try adding some apple cider vinegar to the mask for acne-healing effects.

Does not help acne, but smooths skin
I've used this alone, and i found the next day my skin was really oily with residue. I now mix it with my oatmeal scrub with a little honey and it definitely helps with redness and smoothness. Has it worked for my acne? no. But it is gentle and you're better off using something like this rather than lemon, aspirin etc.

Pros:

Refreshing.
Smoother complexion.
Reduced redness.
Smaller pimples now appear.
Help my Hyperpigmentation.( not sure about this one .)
Lasts forever.

Cons:

Can get messy.(Can be avoided if you use a less liquidy yogurt.)

I mix a little yogurt and honey together and apply it to my face. My complexion is soooo much smoother looking now.

Pros:

Exceptionally soothing and simple mask that can be used on sensitive, inflamed, or combination skin.

Cons:

Drippy -- use before a shower, and plan to sit still. Soothes and speeds healing of acne inflammation and product-related dryness, but does not dry out blemishes -- see below.

Straight from the refrigerator, a plain yogurt mask is one of the easiest, most calming face treatments I know of. Physically (and emotionally!) acne flare-ups leave me very sensitive, and yogurt consistently helps. I have never had bad reactions, even when applying on blemishes themselves -- seems to cool down redness and speed healing, though it does not dry them. For this reason it is best applied to blemishes on their way to healing. To dry emerging blemishes, I recommend spot-treating with a clay mask and using yogurt on the rest of your face. NOTE: use plain yogurt; sweetened yogurts contain all kinds of odd ingredients!

Instant skin brightner
Superb! Try applying yoghurt mask for instant skin brightening. Try any one of the following- Believe me it just works. Fyi..I have a sensitive , combination skin and suffer from rosacea and acne. 1. 1 tsp each honey, turmeric, lemon juice with yoghurt. Make sure to include the water that yoghurt leaves as that it is probiotic. 2. 1tsp each tomato, cucumber and aloe juice with yoghurt. This can be used as a de-tan. If you can tolerate gram flour ( chickpea flour) add a teaspoon in 3. Equal quantity of mashed ripe banana, oatmeal and yoghurt with honey-Softens the face . Try them and do let me know your comments.

Lemon juice really really shouldn't be used on the face! The ph is really acidic and can be damaging to skin. Honey however is really good, especially manuka, if you're not sensitive to it, sometimes it can actually cause pimples. Aloe vera is another great skin care ingredient, very soothing. Oatmeal can also be good for sensitive or eczema prone skin. Just no lemon!

Pros:

-felt refreshing

Cons:

-transformed my ~5 zit face to a ~30 zit face
-dried out skin, YET
-somehow made my t-zone even greasier

i really wanted to like this- it's cheap, fun, easy, and has nearly immaculate reviews. i'd been looking for a nice mask to smoothen my skin and hopefully improve my complexion, but yogurt was not the right choice for me. i used plain greek yogurt every other day for about 3 weeks before i threw in the towel. 4 days after stopping, my skin is slowly returning back to normal. hope others have better luck! ps, i have very sensitive combination skin (oily t-zone, dry cheeks)

Pros:

Smoother complexion
Tighter and cleaner pores
Lessens redness in skin tone

Cons:

...You're putting yogurt on your face...of course, it feels funny

When I first heard about this remedy all I could think of was the word: BREAKOUT Then I read up on the effects of yogurt as a skin mask. -The live cultures clean out your pores -Depending on the fat content of the product it can also hydrate your skin (more fat=more water retention) -The lactic acid is a natural exfoliater (Added bonus: when the mask is dry you can also use it as a physical exfoliater) I've all natural (no sugar added!) Greek yogurt as a face mask every 2 days for 3 weeks. My complexion has never looked better. It's definitely something to look into adding into your regiment.

Pros:

Fades discolored spots
Evens out skin tone
Skin feels very soft and smooth
Controls future breakouts
Skin is noticeably less oily

Cons:

None that I can think of. Just don't over do it. Using this mask 2-4 times a week is good enough!

So, as all these other reviews state, yes plain ol' yogurt does wonders for the skin. I, however, like to mix it up a little: 1. Dissolve a few uncoated aspirin in water and then add the yogurt and mix. This mask works just as great because aspirin is a strong natural form of alpha hydroxy acid (found in most acne products). Aspirin goes deep into pores, clearing them out and also does a good job as an exfoliator. So the two products combined = even better. 2. I sometimes add a little bit of turmeric powder to plain yogurt. Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory, so it takes care of the redness, bumps, and fights off infections. This mask also makes skin dewey and glowy!

Pros:

Healthy glow

Cons:

Worsened my acne

It really is remarkable how radiant my skin looks after using yogurt as a mask. I've never seen it so dewy. However, it did zilch for active acne; in fact, it made my breakouts more inflamed.
