Pros:

Light, Does not irritate skin, Affordable, Unscented, Lasts long

Cons:

If too much is applied, might be hard to wash off

This soap is a very light and easy cleanser, doesn't clog pores, doesn't irritate skin and is perfect for sensitive skin. It may dry your skin a little bit but that's any soap, I won't even list it as a con. This is a great product for acne prone skin.

Pros:

Does a better job than any of the 15-20 big and small name brands I've tried! Really cheap, doesn't dry out too much. you should definately try it.

Cons:

Its not a miracle cure, ie it doesn't really keep me completely clear skinned... but it does a good job.

Having had acne for 13 years now... I think the science around the subject is flawed. These companies find ingredients which supposedly kill the acne bacteria or exfoliate the skin or sooth the skin, etc. In the end, most of them end up CONTRIBUTING to the acne and do more harm than good! Dove soap is the only one that I've found that doesn't. It cleans your face, but doesn't actively tackle the acne nor does it make it worse. However, since most other acne treatments are as bad for acne as they are good... Dove leads the pack. Nothing really even comes close in my (13 year!) experience. If you haven't tried it, you really should give it a go for 3-4 weeks at least. For $2-3 what can go wrong?

Pros:

Cleared my face up extremely fast, extremely cheap, smells great.

Cons:

None that I can think of.

I had acne pretty bad for a few years, Over the course of those years I tried expensive products such as pro-activ, various neutrogena products and noxzeme, etc. etc. Until One day I was joking around with a friend of mine, and his face was always so clean and acne free... I said "how the **** do u keepm ur face so clean from acne, what do u use" he told me just to use a bar of soap... So i picked up this dove bar (because it is gentle and has moisturizers in it" It works so unbelievably great.. and I have spread the word to many friends... Now i dont have a single pimpled on my face, and my skin is super smooth all the time. I love this thing

Pros:

great great great

Cons:

to be honest, it has done nothing to my blackheads, and I have the bumps that you cant see but can feel

Ok, so I had flawless skin all through middle school, then 9th grade happened. My skin started going out of control and then I saw that stupid pro active ad on tv, well its full of crap and made my skin the worst its ever been. So its been about a year now since I started developing acne, and well Dove has been there. My mom started buying it for me after she got great results, well she was right. It freaking works. Ive had some low points in the past year where I wanted to kill myself to be honest, but this little bar has pretty much saved me. I still breakout in stressful times but it quickly clears up thankfully, and I have a bunch of blemishes, blackheads, microbumps, but I have no obscure pimples which makes me a happy teenager.

Pros:

Gentle, PH Neutral, Non-Drying, Fragrance Free, Lasts a Long Time.

Cons:

None

I like this soap. It's very gentle and does not irritate. It keeps my skin feeling very clean and healthy. I don't like to use acne medication since it is so drying. My acne is rather mild anyway. It's fragrance free which is great. Fragrances are not necessary in hygiene products imo. If I wanna smell nice I wear cologne. Great great product. It's the only thing I use on my body and face.

Pros:

Excellent, worked well, and not overdrying.

Cons:

None.

I've been seeing a dermatologist for over a year. At the age of thirty, I began to break-out as if I was a teenager all over again. I thought that it would stop by the time I hit forty but it didn't. It became worse. Don't get me wrong, the treatments that me doctor described worked but only for a little while. Last week, my face exploded. For no reason at all. Frustrated, I went to the web. So many people were talking about using Dove and how effective it was in clearing up breakouts. I have sensitive skin so I've been using Dove for years on my body but never considered using it on my face. I decided to try it and can you believe that my face is clearing up? I am grateful for your website...that's for the advice.

Pros:

nothing except a very light lather.

Cons:

makes skin
-dry
-itchy
-red
- even more oily
- irritated

OK, at first it worked very well at keeping my skin soft, that was a month ago. idk why, i switched even more soaps and i came back and now my skin hates it. my chin hurts because i just know pimples are starting to erupt. i already have 3 on my chin. i HATE THIS. if this is sensitive skin bar soap then soemthing must be wrong with it. I WOULD USE IT IF I DIDNT HAVE ACNE. F**K THIS.

Pros:

-Gentle
-Cleans well
-Good for light acne
-Seems to keep pores from clogging

I bought this for my underarms; i've been having trouble with removing the sweat under my arms and i needed something gentle for the irritation there caused by friction and an antiperspirant, and all though it didn't clean my underarms as well as i had hoped, i recently noticed the little bit of back acne i had is gone XD with the hot weather my back was sweating and breaking out but once i began using this soap my bacne went away... i am so surpised! this was an amazing accident! i used to use a glycolic acid body wash once in a while on my back but now i don't need to! and its great cuz that body wash costs a ton! My skin feels really clean with it.. except for my underarms :(
