Pros:

Stable, topical vitamin c works well in combination with silicone to prevent and treat scars.

Cons:

Stings when the skin is raw, my product is not cheap.

I've been using a product called invicible scars. The vitamin c is not oxidizing which other creams have a problem, and together with dimethicone it makes my skin feel good and makes my dots not as red.

amazing with other supplement intake
i take vitamin c 5 grams a day with 100mg zinc,2400iu vitamin a,1200mg fish oil(with 2000 vitamin d in d3 form) and 200mcg selenium a day although its probably best to take all the supplements i just listed here and maybe more but the only think that really helped me and not just make minor improvements was vitamin c zinc and vit a taken together it will reduce the inflammation caused by acne and dry up your skin so no(or extremely little) sebum will be produced drastically reducing acne another amazing part of the combination is that scars heal very fast

Pros:

Easy to take, inexpensive, works better than anything else I've ever tried.

Cons:

None

I have battled with cystic acne since I was 13. I'm now 44 and in the past few years it has gotten so bad that every couple of months I had to go on antibiotics for the boils. About a year ago I started a vitamin regimen that included 500 mg of vitamin C as well as garlic and vitamin E. I wasn't sure which one it was that cured me, but after 2 weeks, I completely stopped breaking out. When I ran out of the Vitamin C (Kirkland brand non-chewable) I replaced it with a Chewable brand and my acne started to come back. I quickly went back on the Kirkland and my face is clear again. Don't know why no one ever told me about this before. I would have far fewer scars now if I had known.

Pros:

About a week ago, I began taking 500-1000mg of Vitamin C per day. Plus, I started eating foods high in Vitamin A. The recommended daily intake for Vitamin A is 700 RAE for Women and 900 RAE for Men. Anyway, it totally cleared my mild-moderate acne.

Cons:

Too much Vitamin A can be toxic. Also, taking Vitamin C supplements can irritate your stomach.

Vitamin A and Vitamin C work wonders in clearing your skin. But, I'd suggest incorporating them into your diet, rather than taking supplements of them.

Pros:

no acnes, no more
reduce excess oil on my face

Cons:

nothing so far

I used to use so many facial wash, starting from light for skin, till some that costs expensive, but my acnes were still comes out Then I started thinking that maybe I need some teratment inside So I bought a bottle of vitamin C, 1000mg, consists of 30 tablets for a month. I drink 1 tablet each day before sleep. In the morning, I wash my face, and I suprised that I have no oil on my face! Also, my face skin looks brighter and soften. I have so many acne scar, and now it's starting to fade! I think the best treatment is not from outside, but inside, and Vitamin C does really work to me! :) But I now stick to Clearasil face wash, and apply some tea tree oil on my face before sleep, then get drink of vitamin C. And they work all together.

Pros:

Overall boost to your body, one of the most powerful anti oxidents out there, natural, no side affect, O ya and almost completely cured my severe acne

Cons:

none

The doctors wanted to put me on acutane, I was on doxcycycline, and tetracycline, and nothing worked. So I decide to take 2000 mg of vitamin c a day, 8000 units of vitamin A, wash my face, neck and other trouble spots 3 times a day with oxy maximun strength wash, and use benzaclyn, as well as eat 1 carrot and 1 apple per day now I am good. I usually never take the time to write a review but this basically cured me and I know that there are other people who know of the tramu that acne can cause, so I felt obliged to let you know about the natural way that I found, good luck
