Carley's : Clear and Smooth Skin Treatment

I've tried various prescriptions from a dermatologist & Proactiv as well as tons of make up to "cover up". Those products all made my acne & skin worse. It turns out I'm allergic to Benzoyl Peroxide, the active ingredient in Proactiv, many prescription acne treatments and Carley's Clear & Smooth. However, I believe the method of using Carley's is the key for me. The Benzoyl Peroxide is not allowed to sit on my face for hours with Carley's. I've experimented with using just the scrub and only washing it off with water - no soap. My face reacted the same way as it did with the Proactiv/prescriptions. If I use it the way the directions say, washing before and after with the bar soap - NO PROBLEMS!!! I've also been able to lay off the make up, as there's nothing to cover up anymore. My sister now uses the scrub & soap, my mom uses the soap and I use the soap on my 3 year old daughter (I started with her when I noticed how dry her skin got - since washing her with the bar soap - the dry skin has gone away). I think the cost is very reasonable compared to all the other commercial products available. I order only twice a year and use it regularly every day. I glanced over the over the reviews here.....no one product is going to work for 100% of the population of acne sufferers. We're all looking for something that helps us. For those of us that this has helped, we're grateful. If it hasn't worked for you - I'm sorry, I hope you find something that does. Steve does have a full refund policy for his products and he does stand behind that promise. He's always answered any inquires I had promptly. I took a chance on trying this product 8 years ago, after turning to the internet for help out of desperation. I'm glad I did.

Ive been using it for a couple of years now, its the only thing that gets my sensitive acneskin clear and soft. Some of my friends are using it on my recommendation and they are loving how it works

I have been a customer for years and am very happy with the soap and the Clear and Smooth Acne Treatment. They have specials from time to time, so I listed the "price paid" as an average for a month of cleanser + soap + shipping on my last order.

While I understand that not every product works for everyone, I notice that all the negative reviews of this product sound suspiciously similar to all the other negative reviews, and most of them claim the positive reviews are phony. Hmmm. Carley's stuff is all guaranteed, so if it doesn't work, send it back and get your money back. My skin DID get a bit worse before getting better, but now I will never stop using Carley's. The positive reviews do not all sound the same. So make your own mind up. I've been using Carley's -- and only Carley's -- for 4 - 5 years now. It's the best thing I've ever used on my face. I had horrible acne for 30 years, and now I get frequently get compliments on my skin. My skin used to HURT it was so bad, now it feels soft and smooth does not hurt, and has no pimples or bumps -- or wrinkles, but that might not be due to Carley's as much as to avoiding sunlight most of my life. I will say that Carley's asked us to come here and give reviews, but they didn't tell us what to write. They're a good company, not phony, have great customer service, and seem to really care about their customers and products.

Everyone one should try it...I've given it to my mom and brother as Christmas gifts. You have to give it a few months of dedication and stay away from other products. But once it's routine it's very easy to keep up with.

This is a great product. I am wanting to get sublative laser done but was told that my acne had to be under control first. I thought I would cry because I had already spend the money for the laser and have never been able to control my acne. I used what the office sold me and there was no change. Carley's was a last chance for me. I have seen this product a lot but thought it was a scam. I was to a point where I was desperate. I am so glad now that I ordered. I have my first laser treatment next week and I am so excited. Their discoloration and scar treatment has helped with the pigmentation also.

It really works. I ran out for a few weeks and my skin actually started to break out again so I know for a fact that Carley's is keeping my skin clear.

I have only been using this product for 2 weeks, but so far so good! My face has completely cleared except for my acne scarring. I am worried that I will eventually break out according to all the negative reviews on this site. The Tamanu oil also helps heal pimples and reduce scarring. I also like the fact that there aren't chemicals that sit on your face constantly. I will definately be giving a negative review if my face breaks out. Lets hope that doesn't happen. It's worth a shot.

I started with the regular strength in college and switched to the "Industrial strength" when that wasn't quite doing the job for me. I am now a pregnant 27 year old, and my skin has honestly never been clearer. I know a lot of my acne was due to hormonal causes, so I was expecting my skin to get worse with pregnancy (as my sister's had). The cleanser + all natural soap duo has been the only thing to ever work with me. I am a pharmacist and I recommend this product to people who come into my store looking for something when nothing else seems to work. The 5% wash is the same strength as the 5% prescription wash you can get in the pharmacy - plus it's cheaper and you don't need to visit a doctor to get it!! As with any benzoyl peroxide product, it has PEROXIDE in it, so it can and WILL bleach towels. I just usually use white wash clothes and light colored towels and I haven't had a problem with it -well worth it to have clear skin! I buy 3 items at a time so I can get the 4th product free. I keep 1 bottle in the shower with me, which usually lasts about 3-4 months. I place the other bottles that I'm not using in the fridge to help preserve their potency. This system has allowed me to order ~ once a year, and I've never noticed any difference in the bottles I pull from the fridge vs. the one I use right away when it's shipped. Bottom line: I've been using Carley's for over 7 years, and I hope they never stop making it. I'd hate to have to find another product that works, smells great, and is relatively inexpensive over the course of a year.
