Pros:

Very moisturizing, absorbs well, good for skin and acne, does not make my face beet red like old moisturizer used to

Cons:

All the negative energy and low expectations from these reviews! Also, when I add

I used to use Dan's regimen years ago and it worked great. I recently started up again a few weeks ago. I was really worried that this moisturizer would be terrible from the reviews...but i dont know what people are talking about. First, the ingredients are excellently formulated, i dare you to find another moisturizer like this one. I use the recommened two pumps (the brand new bottle is 2 pumps, not 3), and at night I apply 6 drops of jojoba oil, in the morning I apply 2 to 4 depending on how dry my skin is. It feels great on my face, and the jojoba works like a charm. I feel like this moisturizer is helping my acne almost as much as the BP! Im so glad i trusted my instincts and tried this product. I think people are using too much BP too quickly, and blame the dryness on this moisturizer. Start slow and give it time! So far this moisturizer has been a heaven send. Maybe its the extra jojoba oil I add which makes it so good. Anyways, i highly recommend to anybody

Pros:

light on the skin and moisturized a bit

Cons:

-leaves yellow tint on skin
-burning/tingling sensation after applying it
-left my skin a bit red
-too much for skin to handle

It's a creamy moisturizer, great if it were more sensitive but in combination with an already oily face it made my acne flare up at times. It leaves your face with a yellow tint and burns when you apply it. I recommend if your face is extremely dry, other than that get a better moisturizer.

Pros:

lightweight
moisturizes well
doesn't make face red
doesn't irritate like the old formula

Cons:

has a bit of a yellow tint, but it subsides
leaves skin a bit shiny

I have been on the Regimen for about 2 years, and have been using the new moisturizer ever since it came out. My acne used to be moderately severe, but now it's quite light, and this moisturizer has been heavenly for the past few months. Honestly, it is much better than the original. I'm actually amazed by all the negative comments here...! The jojoba oil and licorice root extract in this new formula have really worked at calming my skin. I've found that, yes, it can sting, but this only occurs if I don't wait long enough between applying BP and moisturizer. I know that Dan says 15 mins. is enough, but if you wait 30-45 mins., the moisturizer really does not sting very much at all! I am left slightly red/irritated for maybe 5-10 mins, but after that my skin is hydrated, feels fresh, and although slightly oily, the tight feeling from the BP is completely gone! Once, I had to go back to what I had left of the old formula for a few weeks, and it was then that I realized the BP was not causing my redness... the old moisturizer was. Right when I put it on, it left me looking like a tomato for hours afterwards. This new formula does have a yellow tint, and maybe it's because my skin color has tones of yellow already, but once it sinks into the skin I doubt it would be that noticeable. The new moisturizer has never left me as embarrassed or ashamed of my redness as the old formula had. I remember being mortified when someone in class asked why my skin was bright orange (and no it wasn't from a tan, haha)! I honestly believe that this new formula is gentler and more effective for acne-prone skin when applied properly, especially after waiting long enough for your acne treatment to dry beforehand. I also use this moisturizer on my neck and hands, and I really have only positive things to say about it. As part of the Regimen, this moisturizer has definitely helped me get rid of my acne and get back my confidence.

Pros:

None.

Cons:

Leaves my skin looking yellow.
Makes my skin look extremely oily and shiny.
Does not moisturize or hydrate my skin whatsoever.
Leaves my skin feeling tight and dry.
It stings.

Yes, I've only used this product for less than a week, but I honestly can't take it anymore. I have never in my life experienced a moisturizer quite like this one. It absolutely amazes me that a "moisturizer" this capable of leaving my skin looking like an oil slick at the same time provides absolutely no hydration whatsoever. It leaves my skin feeling tight and irritated (it stings quite a bit actually), and using jojoba oil to relieve the dryness doesn't exactly help the oily appearance of my skin. My skin is a combination type and really tough, I've never had any problems with irritation when using other products. Also, there's the color. Maybe it's just more visible on my skin because I'm so pale, but now I look like an Oompa-Loompa. It's really that bad.

Pros:

This moisturizer is very light and refreshing and applying it feels great. Unlike the previous Acne.org moisturizer, this one doesn't leave my face looking shiny and feeling slick. Once it has absorbed, I completely forget that it's there.

Cons:

It's rather costly, and does require a slightly larger amount of product to adequately moisturize. It will also leave yellow stains on light cloth after repeated exposure. I learned this the hard way with my pillow covers.

This moisturizer has completely eliminated my flakiness, something the original moisturizer came close to doing, but could never quite accomplish. It also feels great, and doesn't leave annoying residue behind. Unlike the other more tiresome aspects of the regimen, I actually look forward to applying this moisturizer. It has a real cooling and calming effect on my skin and feels like the perfect remedy after slathering myself with BP. The increased price is a bummer, but the benefits of this new formula outweigh the costs in my opinion. It also does leave yellow stains on things like sheets after repeated exposures. Although this is something I'm pretty used to considering BP does the same thing, it's still pretty frustrating. Many have commented that this moisturizer requires more product to work properly. This hasn't been my experience. I use three pumps (from the newer bottles), which is slightly more than I was using with the original. Considering I use 4 pumps of BP to keep my acne under control, I think this is pretty good. Still, I'm surprised to hear so many people commenting that they need 6+ pumps as I haven't found that to be necessary in the slightest.

Pros:

does what its supposed to do.. moisturizes and firms without congesting

Cons:

a little shiny after.. its been around +4 months? since i have been using the regimen. i have been using bare minerals with spf after and it helps rid of the shine (also it replaces spf lotion.. i still have not found one that doesnt make me break out) and blotting paper helps mid-day.

i have been reading that a lot of people are having flakiness issues and i found that freeman's peeling mask ($3+), used on daily basis, helps get rid of it. there is also boscia's black peeling mask which i use maybe twice a week and that helps as well. its a gentler way of exfoliating without irritating your skin. after i take off the mask i use avene milk cleanser to wash away access, instead of the acne.org cleanser, to mosturize (but before i use the mask i use the acne.org cleanser). this is all at night.. and being that i live in the city im sure i pick up a lot of things that im better off not knowing about.. so the mask helps with that as well. at first use for a couple weeks or so.. makes your skin feel very tight and a lot of flakiness and itchiness with the regimen and i had to reapply moisturizer mid-day after lunch especially on and around the chin area. a lot of that went away (and i didn't have to reapply moisturizer) when i started using the peeling mask. clay masks just dried out my skin more so might want to stay away from those. my skin is definitely firmer from the licorice in the moisturizer, if not firm. my skin has definitely cleared up and i only have two or so pimples in areas that i realized i was touching during the day or not using enough cleanser on. after my skin clears up fully i plan on using night serums with the regimen to help with my acne scars. hope this helps!

Pros:

Does not leave skin shiny.
Leaves most of my face silky.

Cons:

Does not work on all areas of my face.

I have to say I prefer the old moisturizer. The old one tended to leave the skin shiny and the new one doesn't, but the new one just doesn't work as well. I have had to switch to Cetaphil for my forehead and neck because those areas were much too dry with the new moisturizer.

Pros:

You get a lot of it for the money.

Cons:

Bring the old one back please!!!!! This new formula is not working for me because...
- It leaves a greasy yellow residue
- Said residue clumps when I apply makeup
- Said yellow residue also stains pillowcases
- It stings to high heaven (and I don't even have really sensitive skin)
- It doesn't give enough moisture... even when you take the time to glop on 2 full pumps

I won't be repurchasing this nor will I be finishing my bottle. I normally always buy the big kit, but I will only be buying the cleanser and treatment for myself and my sister from now on. I have been using the oil-free Cetaphil as a daytime replacement, but I need to find a new nighttime moisturizer. Dan has made so many great products (i.e. the cleanser, BP treatment, AHA), but this one just does not work for me.

Pros:

WTF IS THIS $#*!

Cons:

- leaves a weird yellow residue
- doesn't take care of flakiness
- doesn't take care of dryness

this moisurizer SUCKS! honestly, it says on the website "takes care of all flakiness" oh is that right? then why is my skin still as flaky as a desert? especially in these cold canadian winters.. and speaking of living in canada i had to pay 20$ for shipping & handeling for the whole large kit..and that was the cheapest option. i LOVE the treatment bp but for me everything else is crap! i'm so dissapointed. hopefully cerave will work better for me..

Cons:

Red Skin, Extremely Flaky (in the winter), Balms with the treatment,

I never used the old formula but from the reviews, it seems much better, especially because it wasn't always yellow! The yellow makes my face a different color from my neck. It moisturizes for about half the day and then like clockwork, I start flaking like crazy. Literally every night. I've added jojoba oil but that just makes my face shiny. I am flaky to the point that I worry about applying the benzoyl peroxide because it could make me drier! THIS SYSTEM NEEDS A NEW MOISTURIZER. If anyone can suggest a replacement moisturizer, that'd b. great/
