Pros:

fantastic product, does wonders for acne, feels great going on and absorbs fast.

Cons:

Really dried out my face the first month of use. I had to experiment with many moisturizers before it got any better. The amount you put on is a lot, so it might a while to massage it into the face.

I have tried countless of products which made quite a big dent in my band account. I decided to give acne.org a try. Now I'm over half year into the regimen and it feels so wonderful having clear skin and bright complexion. Everyone, my friends and family, all noticed my drastic skin improvement and wanted to know what I use on my face. I don't even wear make-up anymore, and just let my natural healthy skin do the show. The product is a little bid expensive, but I believe that you cannot put a price to clear healthy skin. After years of suffering from acne, I'm happy to say that I've finally found a solid treatment. I recommend this product 100%.

DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!
The Product does not work. It created red dry blotches on my daughters face. They claim she was not washing her face correctly with the product but I monitored her, she was. Product has been returned, orders canceled and I still have to call every month for a refund. UGH! Frustrating.

Pros:

Works as well as antibiotics for acne, such as Doxycycline, Tetracycline....

Cons:

None....I have heard some people said their bodies have developed immunity for it, and it stopped working after a while (for them, but not me).

I have pretty severe acne. little white heads and noticeable pistils all over my face. I apply a 5 % benzoyl peroxide cream on my face every night before I go to bed, along with that, I used Doxycycline 100 milligrams. My acne still persists, like I never use any product to clear it up. Along with using that, every once in a while, I would try other acne clearing products (of course, I never use them together). I have tried over the counter stuff such as scrubs from almost all cosmetic brands at the drugstore, Rapid Clear salicylic acid gels from Neutrogena, etc. I have also tried Proactive, Murad, tetracycline, creams sold at the Asian stores, almost everything that claims to treat acne. I finally found something that works for me....Nature's Cure. I use the ones for females. If it works for me, it will probably work for you guys too.

Do NOT use! You will be full of regret.
If I could give this product zero stars I would. I was so excited about this product as I had used Proactiv before ( Rodan & Fields product) and loved the sulfur mask. Unblemished has a sulfur wash with dark spot eraser. My FB friends turned pyramid sales consultants had me convinced this was amazing! I didn't mind spending the $200 price tag as long as the product worked! I used Unblemished as directed by instructions and consultant. Week 1 : my skin dried out as expected. No visible change to skin some minor blemishes. Week 2: my skin started to have more blemishes. I had breakouts in places I had never broke out before. Concerned, I contacted my consultant. She stated it was my body detoxing and getting rid of the impurities in my skin. To continue with the product 6-8 weeks. Week 3: my skin was a landfill of painful whiteheads. It became uneven and very red blemishes. I have never hated my skin so much. Not even makeup could cover it up as my skin was uneven and broken. My consultant still insisted on doing the 30 day challenge. So I stuck to it and stay strong. Week 4: I am in tears looking at my face in the mirror. This product has destroyed my skin. I had minor acne now I have I severe acne along with scars to remember this product. I spoke with a doctor and he stated to immediately discontinue this product. Week 5: MY skin is so much better with DISCONTINUING Unblemished! I can not urge you more than NOT to use this product if you have minor acne and semi-sensetive skin, it will be the worse decision of your life. I wish I had never heard of this product!

They keep charging you
Be careful. You make one order and then they automatically charge you every month and keep sending you more.

It did say in fine print that they will charge you per installment, so you gotta read fine print before you buy stuff.

Ugh
I had pretty clear skin before I started using it, and I had a friend with super clear skin who used it so I was excited to try it so my mom and I bought it at the mall kiosk cause we had heard they charge you continuously so I bought it and started using it and instantly my face broke out so bad. I had clusters of big and small pussy pimples all around my mouth and on my chin and cheeks from it, I had never broke out that bad before. It stressed me out so bad and it hurt so bad. I would cry every night because it looked terrible. It's been months and my skin is still recovering. I managed to get pills and creams from the dermatologist and they're helping a lot but I never would have been in this mess if I didn't have a stupid reaction to stupid x-out. It hurts and dries out your skin and it's expensive as hell. Luckily we got our money back but I would hate to have been screwed over like that by them.

An even better replacement for Panoxyl 2.5%
I was a dedicated user of the Panoxyl 2.5% aquagel, which was unfortunately and famously discontinued in the UK. After a lot of freaking out and purchasing some dodgy aquagels from China, I decided to try this, despite the alcohol content. I was worried about the drying effects of the alcohol and the higher BP strength but I can honestly say that this is the BEST acne product I have ever used. The Panoxyl changed my life, made my acne manageable and predictable. Acnecide has eradicated my acne COMPLETELY. I will occasionally get the odd single pimple around certain hormonal times in the month but I haven't had a cystic pimple or in fact anything that is larger than the head of a pin or lasts longer than a day or two for over six months. One tube of this product has lasted me this whole time and I am nearing the end of it, tempted to stock pile it in case it is discontinued like the Panoxyl. I suffered no drying or flaking of the skin like I did when I first started using Panoxyl, in fact there was no negative change at all and I was worried it wouldn't work because I didn't notice it even being there (silly I know but from the amount of things I've tried and the drastic effects they've had initially, it's become expected). My daily regimen is very basic - Garnier Pure Active scrub, Garnier Active wash, Acnecide, Origins Ginzing moisturiser (oil free and a revelation, I will review this next). I would highly recommend giving this product a chance. It's not cheap at £15- £18 a tube but for me it is totally worth it.

Review on the product itself
I am a 16 year old girl and I don't have cystic acne but I have combo skin and it's so frustrating because in some places it's dry and some places it feels oily. I had tons of tiny bumps all over my forehead, some of them were poppable and some of them were not, and extremely clogged pores on my nose. I tried so many products to try to clear up my acne and I decided to give X Out a chance. Although judging my some of the reviews on here about the terrible customer service... yes it's an awful product in that department. BUT as an acne treatment itself, it has cleared up most of my acne. Not all, but most. A couple weeks into my treatment my acne got a little bit worse.. and I was thinking "wow, this isn't going to work" but a couple days later IT COMPLETELY CHANGED MY SKIN. After washing though, I find it necessary to use lotion if you have dry or combo skin like me because of the drying agent in the formula. I guess everyone's skin is different, and I don't see this treating cystic acne or someone with horrendous breakouts, but for me it totally works.

Pros:

The ONLY product I've found that works to get rid of and keep acne away. I'm in my mid-30's and have suffered from moderate to severe acne since my teens.

Cons:

Nothing.

I've tried various prescriptions from a dermatologist & Proactiv as well as tons of make up to "cover up". Those products all made my acne & skin worse. It turns out I'm allergic to Benzoyl Peroxide, the active ingredient in Proactiv, many prescription acne treatments and Carley's Clear & Smooth. However, I believe the method of using Carley's is the key for me. The Benzoyl Peroxide is not allowed to sit on my face for hours with Carley's. I've experimented with using just the scrub and only washing it off with water - no soap. My face reacted the same way as it did with the Proactiv/prescriptions. If I use it the way the directions say, washing before and after with the bar soap - NO PROBLEMS!!! I've also been able to lay off the make up, as there's nothing to cover up anymore. My sister now uses the scrub & soap, my mom uses the soap and I use the soap on my 3 year old daughter (I started with her when I noticed how dry her skin got - since washing her with the bar soap - the dry skin has gone away). I think the cost is very reasonable compared to all the other commercial products available. I order only twice a year and use it regularly every day. I glanced over the over the reviews here.....no one product is going to work for 100% of the population of acne sufferers. We're all looking for something that helps us. For those of us that this has helped, we're grateful. If it hasn't worked for you - I'm sorry, I hope you find something that does. Steve does have a full refund policy for his products and he does stand behind that promise. He's always answered any inquires I had promptly. I took a chance on trying this product 8 years ago, after turning to the internet for help out of desperation. I'm glad I did.

Finding a Doctor

The right dermatologist can make a big difference to your patient experience and the success of your acne treatment plan. Here are the steps to find a dermatologist who is a good fit:

  1. Use the search feature on the American Academy of Dermatology website to look for board-certified dermatologists in your area, and filter the search results for doctors with a special interest in treating acne.
  2. Read online patient reviews of any dermatologists you are considering and ask people you know whether they have any experience with these dermatologists.
  3. Do your research and go to your first appointment with questions prepared.
  4. Listen to what your gut feeling tells you once you see a dermatologist in person. If you are not completely comfortable, try a different dermatologist.

Finding a Doctor

Only a select few plastic surgeons specialize in acne scar revision surgery. Be certain to find a provider who specializes in acne scar repair and who is passionate and experienced in this area.

Be sure to:

  • Look at before and after photos, the more the better, especially patients with similar scarring to your own.
  • Be realistic about results. Look for improvement, not a cure.

Questions to ask a potential scar revision specialist:

  • Are you board certified? Be certain that they are board certified.
  • How long have you been performing these procedures? Normally, the more experience the better, however, some younger surgeons may be more on top of the latest procedures.
  • Can I speak to some of your other patients? Ask for references for several patients who had similar scarring and speak to them about the process and their satisfaction with results.

Red flags:

  • Their story changes: As you discuss different treatment options, if they tend to change their mind easily, or agree with whatever you say, consider this a red flag. A confident, experienced surgeon will possess strong, unwavering opinions.
  • Your gut tells you "no": Trust your gut. If you just don't feel that the doctor is the right fit, trust that and move on. On the other hand, if you feel they are the perfect specialist for you, trust that feeling.
